2. Setup and Components
2.1. Charging the Device
The rangefinder is powered by a rechargeable battery and charges via a Type-C USB port.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging port on the device and a suitable power source.
- A red indicator light signifies that the device is charging.
- A green indicator light indicates that the device is fully charged.
2.2. Component Identification
Familiarize yourself with the various parts of your rangefinder:
- Powerful Magnetic
- Mode/Unit Transfer Button
- Power/Measurement Button
- Eyepiece Knob (for focusing)
- Eyepiece
- Emission Objective
- Type-C Charging Port
- Laser Emission Lens
- Slope Switch
3. Operating Instructions
3.1. Power On/Off
- To power on: Press the Power/Measurement button.
- The device will automatically power off after 30 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery.
3.2. Adjusting Eyepiece Focus
Rotate the Eyepiece Knob (part 4 in Figure 2.2) to manually focus the eyepiece until the display and target appear clear.
3.3. Switching Measurement Units (Yards/Meters)
Press the Mode/Unit Transfer Button (part 2 in Figure 2.2) to switch between yards (Y) and meters (M).
3.4. Using the Slope Switch
The slope function can be easily turned on and off using the dedicated Slope Switch (part 9 in Figure 2.2). This allows golfers to get compensated distances when needed.
- To use slope on (Training Mode): Slide the slope switch to the 'on' position. A '1' logo will appear on the display. Press the Power/Measurement button to start, select the target, aim, and press again to measure. The data displayed will include slope compensation.
- To use slope off (Tournament Mode): Slide the slope switch to the 'off' position. The '1' logo will not be visible. This mode provides no slope compensation and is legal for golf tournaments. Press the Power/Measurement button to start, select the target, aim, and press again to measure.
3.5. Flagpole Lock and Vibration
This feature is primarily used in Golf Mode to accurately measure the distance to a flagpole.
- Measure the background of the slope behind the flag.
- Press and hold the Power/Measurement button (to enter Scan Mode) and slowly move the crosshairs from the surrounding background to the flag.
- The rangefinder will recognize the flag, and the flag logo will flash. The device will vibrate to confirm the lock.
- The distance to the flag and the slope compensation distance (if slope is enabled) will be displayed.
3.6. LCD Display Information
The LCD display provides the following information:
- Angle
- Target Indicator
- Linear Distance
- Distance Unit (M/Y)
- Lightning Icon (indicates measurement in progress)
- Flag Icon (indicates flagpole lock)
- Slope Compensation Distance
4. Maintenance and Care
4.1. Cleaning and Daily Maintenance
The lenses of your laser rangefinder are fully multi-coated for optimal light transmission. Proper cleaning is essential to maintain performance.
- To remove fingerprints or smudges, use a lens demisting cloth and gently wipe the lens in a circular motion.
- If using a cleaning solution, apply it to the wipe cloth first, then clean the lens. Do not apply cleaning solution directly onto the lens.
- Keep the lens clean and free of dirt.
4.2. Storage
- Store the device within the recommended temperature range of -20°C to 50°C.
- Avoid exposing the eyepiece to direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent damage to the display and internal components.
- Always store the rangefinder in its protective case when not in use.
5. Troubleshooting
- Difficulty locking onto flag: This rangefinder is an entry-level device. When the flag is far away or affected by weather conditions (e.g., wind causing movement), it may be difficult to lock onto. If the object to be measured (flagpole) overlaps with the background, the single rangefinder mode may not accurately identify the flag.
- Inaccurate measurements:
- Glass can reflect the laser beam, affecting measurement results. Avoid measuring through glass.
- Rain, fog, and dusty conditions can obstruct laser transmission and reduce the maximum measurement distance.
- Complex vegetation on mountains can obstruct the reflection of laser signals.
- Poor visibility of readings in low light: In low-light conditions at night, additional lighting may be required to view the readings, as the eyepiece display is not illuminated.

7. User Tips
- Optimizing Measurement: When measuring objects, especially at longer distances or in challenging conditions, aim for light-colored buildings or large, reflective surfaces as the farthest target possible. Dense vegetation can sometimes interfere with laser signals.
- Magnification Adjustment: The 6x magnification can be adjusted by rotating the eyepiece knob to achieve the clearest view for your eyes.
- Tournament Play: Always ensure the slope switch is turned OFF for tournament play to comply with regulations.
