3. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Installation Guidelines

The HiMISS 7805C is a single DIN unit. Ensure your vehicle's dashboard opening matches the installation dimensions (178mm x 52mm). Professional installation is recommended.

4.2 Wiring Connections

Careful wiring is essential for proper function and safety. Refer to the wiring diagram below and the labels on the rear of the unit.

  • ISO Plug Power Cable & Speaker Cable: Connect the main power and speaker harness to the corresponding ports.
  • Video Output: Connect to an external display if desired.
  • Reversing Camera Input: Connect an optional reversing camera here.
  • Radio Antenna: Connect your car's FM antenna.
  • Left Channel Output & Right Channel Output: RCA outputs for connecting to external amplifiers or subwoofers.

4.3 Wiring Protection Feature

This unit includes a power supply positive and negative pole reverse connection protection function. If the power supply lines are connected incorrectly (positive and negative poles reversed), the circuit board will not burn. You can simply correct the wiring, and the machine can be started normally. This feature helps prevent damage from common wiring mistakes.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Front Panel Controls

The front panel features a 4.1-inch touchscreen and physical buttons for easy control.

  • Power Button (⑂): Press to turn on/off.
  • MUTE: Mutes/unmutes audio.
  • MODE: Switches between different modes (Radio, USB, TF, BT, AV IN).
  • AMS/BAND: In radio mode, switches frequency bands (FM1, FM2, FM3) and automatically searches for stored radio stations.
  • VOL Knob: Rotate to increase/decrease volume. Press to switch sound effects.
  • ◀◀ (Previous): Short press for previous track/station.
  • ▶▶ (Next): Short press for next track/station.
  • ▶‖ (Play/Pause): Plays or pauses media.
  • CH+/CH-: In radio mode, switches channels. In media mode, switches folders.
  • USB Port: For USB disk reader and USB charging.
  • MIC: External microphone jack (3.5mm).
  • RES (Reset): Small button to reset the unit (use a thin object like a paperclip).
  • TF Card Slot: For inserting a TF (microSD) card.

5.2 Basic Navigation

The 4.1-inch IPS touchscreen allows for intuitive control. Tap icons to select functions or swipe to navigate menus.

5.3 FM Radio Operation

Select the 'FM' icon or press the MODE button to enter radio mode. Use the AMS/BAND button to cycle through FM bands. Use the ◀◀ / ▶▶ buttons to tune stations or the touchscreen controls for scanning and saving presets. The radio frequency range is 87.5-108.0MHz.

5.4 Bluetooth (BT) Connection

The unit features Bluetooth V5.0 for stable, lag-free connections for calls and music streaming. Select the 'BT' icon to enter Bluetooth mode.

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device.
  2. Search for available devices and select 'SWL-BT' (the default name for the unit).
  3. Once paired, you can make/receive calls and stream audio.

5.5 Multimedia Playback (USB/TF Card)

Insert a USB flash drive or TF card into the respective slots. The unit supports various audio, video, and image formats.

  • Video Playback: Supports RM/RMVB/AVI/MP4/MKV/3GP formats with 800x480 resolution on the 4.1-inch touchscreen.

5.6 Reversing Video Function (Optional)

If an optional reversing camera is connected, the unit will automatically display the camera feed when the vehicle is put into reverse. This supports high-definition camera input for clear visibility.

5.7 Steering Wheel Remote Control

The included steering wheel remote control allows you to operate the player without touching the screen, providing convenient access to functions while driving.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touchscreen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen cleaner designed for electronics. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • General Cleaning: Keep the unit free from dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean around buttons and ports.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the unit to extreme heat or cold, as this can affect its performance and lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

8. User Tips

  • Proper Grounding: Ensure the ground wire is securely connected to a clean, unpainted metal surface of the car chassis for optimal performance and to prevent noise.
  • Cable Management: Route all cables carefully to avoid pinching, chafing, or interference with vehicle components. Use cable ties to secure them.
  • Test Before Final Assembly: Before fully reassembling your dashboard, perform a quick test of all functions (power, audio, radio, Bluetooth, USB, etc.) to ensure everything is working correctly.
  • USB Charging: The USB port can be used for charging devices, but charging speed may vary depending on the device and the car's electrical system.
  • External Microphone: For best call quality, position the optional external microphone in a location that minimizes background noise and is close to the driver.
