4. Setup
4.1 Charging Dock Placement
Place the charging dock against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter to the front and 0.5 meters to the sides. Connect the adapter to the charging dock and plug it into a power outlet.
4.2 Initial Charge
Place the Lefant M1 onto the charging dock. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock. For first-time use, fully charge the robot vacuum before operation. The indicator lights will show charging status.
4.3 Connecting to the Lefant App
The Lefant M1 supports control via the Lefant App. Download the 'Lefant' app from your mobile app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot vacuum to your home Wi-Fi network. Note that the robot only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.

4.4 Voice Assistant Integration
The Lefant M1 is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. To enable voice control, link your Lefant account within the Alexa or Google Home app. You can then use voice commands such as "Alexa, turn on M1" to start cleaning.

5.1 LDS Lidar Navigation and Mapping
The Lefant M1 utilizes LDS Lidar Navigation and FreeMove 3.0 technology for rapid laser mapping and efficient row-by-row cleaning of your entire home. It creates a multi-layer smart zoning map of your environment, allowing for precise navigation and comprehensive coverage.

5.2 Cleaning Modes
The Lefant M1 offers various cleaning modes accessible via the app:
- Regular Cleaning: Standard cleaning pattern for general maintenance.
- Zigzag Cleaning Mode: Efficient back-and-forth pattern for thorough coverage.
- Spot Cleaning: Directs the robot to clean a specific small area intensively.
- Partial Cleaning: Allows you to designate a specific area on the map for cleaning.

5.3 Suction Power
The robot features 4000Pa powerful suction with 3 adjustable modes. You can adjust the suction level through the Lefant App to suit different cleaning needs and floor types.
5.4 Mopping Function
The Lefant M1 includes an electric water tank and a mopping pad plate for simultaneous vacuuming and mopping. You can set 3 levels of water flow for different floor types and cleaning requirements via the app. The floating mop adapts to the ground for even water distribution.

A key feature is its intelligent water control: when encountering obstacles, the robot automatically stops pumping water to prevent leaks and water damage.

5.5 Obstacle Avoidance and Anti-Drop
Equipped with 720° full body perception and Smart Obstacle Avoidance via Laser Radar, the M1 ensures precise obstacle avoidance. It also features anti-drop detection for safe operation near stairs or elevated surfaces.
5.6 Carpet Boost Mode
The robot intelligently identifies carpets and automatically boosts suction power for deeper cleaning on carpeted surfaces.
5.7 Multi-Floor Mapping and No-Go Zones
The Lefant App allows for multi-floor mapping, storing up to 3 separate maps. You can define 'No-Go zones' on the map to restrict the robot from entering specific areas.

5.8 Auto-Recharge and Resume
If the battery runs low during a cleaning cycle, the Lefant M1 will automatically return to its charging dock. Once fully charged, it will resume cleaning from where it left off, ensuring no dead-end sweeping.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Dust Box and Filters
- Empty the dust box after each cleaning cycle.
- Clean the high-efficiency filters regularly. Tap them gently to remove dust or use a cleaning brush. Replace filters as recommended (typically every 3-6 months, depending on usage).
6.2 Water Tank and Mopping Pads
- Empty any remaining water from the water tank after each mopping session.
- Clean the reusable cleaning cloth after each use.
- Replace disposal cleaning cloths as needed.
- Ensure the mopping pad plate is clean and free of debris.
6.3 Brushes
- Regularly check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Remove and clean them. Replace worn-out side brushes.
- Inspect the main roller brush (if applicable) for tangles and clean it using the provided cleaning tool.
