Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your Juson Audio JTA100 amplifier.
1. Power Connection
- Ensure the amplifier's voltage selector switch (located on the rear panel) matches your local power supply (110V or 220V).
- Connect the supplied AC power cable to the power input on the rear panel of the amplifier and then to a suitable wall outlet.
2. Audio Input Connections
The JTA100 offers multiple input options:
- Bluetooth: Attach the Bluetooth antenna to the designated port on the rear panel.
- PC-USB: Connect your computer to the PC-USB input using a USB cable.
- Optical (OPT): Connect an optical cable from your source device to the OPT input.
- Coaxial (COAX): Connect a coaxial cable from your source device to the COAX input.
- AUX (RCA): Connect devices with line-level RCA outputs (e.g., CD player, streamer) to the AUX RCA inputs.
- Phono (RCA): For turntables, connect the RCA cables to the PHONO inputs.
- Connecting to a Turntable:
- Ensure your turntable is set to phono output signal. Many modern turntables have the ability to output either a line level signal or a phono signal. If your turntable is set to output a line level signal, please connect it to the AUX input instead.
- Remove the covers from the PHONO RCA plugs and connect the turntable's RCA outputs to the amplifier's PHONO input.
- Connect the ground wire of the turntable to the GND terminal on the rear of the amplifier.
3. Speaker Connections
- Connect your passive speakers to the Speaker Output terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black).
- For an active subwoofer, connect it to the SW. OUT port.
4. Headphone Connection
- Connect headphones with a 1/4" TRS connector to the Headphone Output on the front panel.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Press the Power Switch on the front panel to turn the amplifier on or off. The power indicator will illuminate when on.
2. Input Selection
- Use the Source Input Selector buttons on the front panel (PHONO, AUX, BT, OPT, COAX, PC-USB) to choose your desired audio source. The selected input will be shown on the LED display.
- Alternatively, use the remote control to select inputs.
3. Volume Control
- Adjust the main Volume Control knob on the front panel to set the overall listening level.
- The remote control also provides volume adjustment buttons (VOL+, VOL-).
4. Tone Controls
- Use the independent Bass Control and Treble Control knobs on the front panel to fine-tune the low and high frequencies of your audio.
5. Remote Control
- The included IR remote control allows for convenient operation from a distance, including power, input selection, volume, and mute functions.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your amplifier.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the amplifier. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the amplifier. Do not block the cooling fan on the rear panel. The built-in smart cooling fan will activate when the internal temperature reaches 60°C.
- Tube Care: The vacuum tubes are delicate. Avoid touching them when hot. If a tube needs replacement, ensure the amplifier is powered off and unplugged, and allow tubes to cool completely before handling. Refer to the specifications for compatible tube types.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the amplifier in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your JTA100 amplifier, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Power cable not connected; Power switch off; Incorrect voltage selection. | Ensure power cable is securely connected. Press the power switch. Verify the voltage selector switch matches your region's power supply. |
| No sound output | Incorrect input selected; Volume too low; Speakers not connected or faulty; Mute activated. | Select the correct input source. Increase volume. Check speaker connections. Deactivate mute function on remote or amplifier. |
| VU meters stop flicking when headphones are plugged in | This is normal operation. | The VU meter is designed to recognize only one way output. When headphones are connected, the VU meters will cease to flick. This is not a defect. |
| Distorted sound | Input signal too high; Speaker impedance mismatch; Faulty cables or tubes. | Reduce input volume from source. Ensure speaker impedance is compatible (4 Ohm minimum). Check cables for damage. If distortion persists, contact support. |
| Bluetooth connection issues | Device not in pairing mode; Amplifier not in Bluetooth mode; Interference. | Ensure your device is in pairing mode and the amplifier is set to BT input. Move closer to the amplifier and away from potential interference sources. |

User Tips
- VU Meter Behavior: As noted in the troubleshooting section, the VU meters are designed to show audio output levels for the left and right channels. However, when headphones are plugged into the 1/4" TRS output, the VU meter pointers will stop flicking. This is a normal operational characteristic and not an indication of a defective product.
- Turntable Connection: When connecting a turntable, always ensure it is set to output a phono signal. If your turntable outputs a line-level signal, use the AUX input instead of the PHONO input. Remember to connect the turntable's ground wire to the amplifier's GND terminal for optimal sound quality and to minimize hum.
- Sound Customization: Utilize the independent bass and treble control knobs to tailor the sound to your personal preference and the acoustics of your listening environment.
- Remote Convenience: Take advantage of the IR remote control for easy adjustment of volume, input selection, and muting from your listening position.
