1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Kinco GL100 and GL100E 10-inch Human Machine Interface (HMI). The Kinco HMI is designed for industrial control applications, offering a user-friendly interface for monitoring and controlling various processes.
The GL100 and GL100E models are part of the Kinco Green Series, known for their robust design and cost-effectiveness. Key features include a non-hollow mask for enhanced protection against oil pollution and an ultra-thin body design.
Note on Models:
- GL100: This model does not include an Ethernet interface. It is a direct replacement for the discontinued MT4532T model, sharing the same installation hole size.
- GL100E: This model features a 10/100M adaptable Ethernet interface. It is a direct replacement for the discontinued MT4532TE model, sharing the same installation hole size.
2. Setup
2.1 Physical Overview
The Kinco GL100/GL100E HMI features a 10-inch display and various communication ports on its rear panel.

2.2 Mechanical Dimensions and Cutout Size
Ensure proper space and cutout dimensions for installation. The overall dimensions and required cutout size are critical for secure mounting.

2.3 Wiring and Connections
The HMI requires a DC24V power supply. Connect the power, ground (GND), and functional ground (FG) terminals as indicated on the rear panel. The HMI supports various communication interfaces:
- DC24V GND FG: Power input terminals.
- COM0/COM2: 9-pin D-SUB connector for serial communication.
- USB SLAVE: For connecting to a PC for program download.
- USB HOST: For connecting USB devices (e.g., USB flash drives).
- Ethernet (GL100E only): 10/100M adaptable Ethernet interface for network communication.
COM0/COM2 Pin Assignment:

Note: COM0/COM2 supports RS232/485/422 communication functions. COM2 specifically supports RS232 communication function.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 User Interface
The Kinco HMI features a touchscreen display for intuitive interaction. The interface allows users to monitor processes, input data, and control connected equipment.

3.2 Language Support
The HMI supports multiple languages, including English, Deutsch, Turkish, Chinese, and Korean.
3.3 Software and Programming
The Kinco HMI uses Kinco DTools V3.3 and above for configuration and programming. Programming of MT4000 can be used for Green series HMI after edited by DTools.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Environmental Conditions
To ensure optimal performance and longevity, operate the HMI within the specified environmental conditions:
- Operating Ambient Temperature: 0°C to 50°C
- Operating Ambient Humidity: 10% to 90% non-condensing
- Storage Ambient Temperature: -20°C to 60°C
- Storage Ambient Humidity: 10% to 90% non-condensing
- Vibration: 10~500Hz, 30m/s², X, Y, Z direction/hour
- Cooling Mode: Natural air cooling
4.2 Cleaning
The HMI features a non-hollow mask, which is effective against oil pollution. For cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the screen or casing.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 PLC Communication Issues
Kinco HMI supports standard universal protocols such as Codesys, Omron Tag Protocol, CANopen, and Modbus. This allows communication with over 300 PLC manufacturers, including Siemens, Mitsubishi, Keyence, AB, and Delta.
However, communication connection methods may vary between different PLC manufacturers and Kinco HMI. If you encounter communication problems, it is recommended to:
- Download the free Kinco software.
- Within the software, select your specific HMI model and then choose the PLC family you intend to connect with to verify compatibility and connection settings.
5.2 Discontinued Products
Please note that some older models, such as MT4532T and MT4532TE, have been discontinued. The GL100 and GL100E models serve as direct replacements with the same installation hole sizes.
