Your comprehensive guide to operating and maintaining your S158 Drone.

1. Safety Guidelines

  • Always operate the drone in open areas, away from people, animals, and obstacles.
  • Ensure the battery is fully charged before each flight.
  • Do not fly in strong winds (Max Wind Speed Resistance: < 10 KM/H) or adverse weather conditions.
  • Maintain a clear line of sight with the drone during operation.
  • Familiarize yourself with local drone regulations before flying.
  • Keep fingers and loose objects away from rotating propellers.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unfolding the Drone

  1. Gently unfold the drone arms until they lock into place.
  2. Ensure all propellers are securely attached and free from obstruction.

3.2 Battery Installation and Charging

  1. **Drone Battery:** Insert the modular lithium battery into the designated compartment on the drone. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  2. **Remote Control Battery:** The remote control uses USB charging. Connect the charging cable to the remote control and a suitable USB power source.
  3. **Charging:** Use the provided charging cable to charge the drone's modular battery. A full charge typically provides about 20 minutes of flight time.

3.3 Remote Control and App Connection

  1. Power on the drone and the remote control.
  2. Download the dedicated drone control app to your smartphone.
  3. Connect your smartphone to the drone's 5G WiFi network (check drone for network name).
  4. Open the app to establish a connection with the drone.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Flight Controls

Refer to the Remote Control Guide (Figure 3.3) for button layout.

  • **Power Switch:** Turns the remote control on/off.
  • **GPS Switch:** Activates/deactivates GPS mode.
  • **Gyroscope Calibration/Geomagnetic Calibration:** Used for initial setup and recalibration.
  • **Throttle Lever:** Controls altitude (up/down).
  • **Direction Lever:** Controls forward/backward, left/right movement.
  • **One-Click Unlock:** Initiates propeller spin for takeoff.
  • **Speed Switching:** Adjusts flight speed.
  • **Obstacle Avoidance Switch:** Toggles the obstacle avoidance system.
  • **One-Click Return:** Initiates automatic return to home.
  • **Lowering the Servo Motor:** Adjusts camera angle.

4.2 Key Flight Features

  • **GPS Positioning:** Provides stable hovering and accurate return-to-home functions.
  • **360° Omnidirectional Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance:** The drone is equipped with a multi-directional obstacle detection system to automatically avoid collisions.
  • **Optical Flow Hovering:** Maintains altitude hover during flight without the need to constantly adjust the throttle, making handling easier.
  • **Intelligent Return:** Features include One-Click Return, Low Battery Return, and Out of Control Return, ensuring the drone safely returns to its takeoff point.
  • **5G Image Transmission:** Watch high-definition aerial photos and videos in real-time through your phone with a flight distance of up to 2000 meters.
  • **Electrically Adjustable Dual Camera:** Allows for free switching between front and bottom lenses and remote adjustment of the camera angle (45° remote control angle, 120° wide angle).
  • **Surrounding Flight:** The drone can orbit a designated point, capturing 360° footage.
  • **Intelligent Follow:** The drone automatically follows a selected subject, capturing dynamic footage without manual control.
  • **Waypoint Flight:** Draw a desired trajectory on the app map, and the drone will automatically follow the path.
  • **Gesture Photography:** Perform specific hand gestures to trigger photo or video recording.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Care

  • Always use the original charging cable and a compatible power adapter.
  • Do not overcharge or completely discharge the battery.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • If the drone will not be used for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% before storing.

5.2 Propeller Replacement

If a propeller is damaged, replace it immediately using the spare blades and screwdriver provided.

  1. Power off the drone and remove the battery.
  2. Use the screwdriver to carefully remove the screw holding the damaged propeller.
  3. Remove the damaged propeller.
  4. Place a new propeller, ensuring it matches the rotation direction (indicated on the propeller and motor arm).
  5. Secure the new propeller with the screw.

5.3 Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone body and camera lenses.
  • Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents that could damage electronic components.
  • Ensure no dust or debris is obstructing the motors or sensors.

6. Troubleshooting

8. User Tips
