5. Operating Instructions

After successful calibration, the bore gauge can be used to measure the internal diameter of a workpiece.

  1. Carefully insert the bore gauge into the workpiece's internal bore.
  2. Ensure both measuring probes make full contact with the inner wall of the workpiece.
  3. Gently rock the gauge left and right to find the minimum reading. This minimum reading represents the true internal diameter of the workpiece.
  4. Read the measurement directly from the dial or digital display.

5.1 Using Bent Bore Gauges

Some models, such as the bent bore gauge, are specifically designed for measuring internal diameters in workpieces with internal end faces or complex geometries.
