This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your smart lock.

The X5 model is an upgraded version featuring improved battery life, a robust design, and enhanced waterproof capabilities. It offers multiple unlocking methods and smart management features via the TTlock App.

  • Five-in-one Unlocking: Access via Bluetooth App, Fingerprint, M1 Card, Passcode, Wristband, or Mechanical Key.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Pre-installation Checks

Before installation, ensure your door meets the following requirements:

  • Door Thickness: 38-50 mm. If your door thickness is over 55mm, please contact customer support.
  • Square Bar Hole Diameter: Confirm the square bar hole diameter is 8mm.

4.2 Handle Direction Adjustment

The handle direction is reversible. You can adjust it for left-side or right-side opening as needed. Refer to the installation video for detailed steps.

4.3 Installation Steps

  1. Install Mortise: Securely install the mortise lock into the door.
  2. Connect Wires: Carefully route and connect the wires between the front and rear panels through the door.
  3. Mount Panels: Align and mount the front and rear panels onto the door, ensuring the square bar and wires pass through correctly.
  4. Secure with Screws: Use the provided screws to firmly attach the panels.
  5. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the rear panel and insert 4 AA alkaline batteries.
  6. Test Functionality: After installation, test all unlocking methods and features to ensure proper operation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Unlocking Methods

  • Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered fingerprint on the sensor.
  • Passcode Unlock: Enter your registered passcode on the touch keypad. The lock supports a 16-digit virtual passcode to prevent voyeurism, including a 6-11 digit user passcode.
  • M1 Card Unlock: Tap your registered M1 card on the card reading area. The lock supports up to 150 cards.
  • Mechanical Key Unlock: Use the provided mechanical key in the keyhole for manual unlocking.
  • App Remote Unlock: Use the TTlock App to unlock the door remotely (requires G2 gateway for WiFi connectivity).

5.2 TTlock App Features

The TTlock App (compatible with Android 4.3/iOS 7.0 and above) provides comprehensive control and monitoring capabilities:

  • Remote Unlock: Unlock your door from anywhere using the app (requires G2 gateway).
  • E-key/Passcode Management: Generate and share temporary, one-time, or recurring passcodes/E-keys with visitors, tenants, or staff.
  • Real-Time Tracking: View access logs to monitor who accessed your lock and when.
  • Passage Mode: Set the lock to remain open for specific periods, allowing free entry without credentials.
  • Silent Mode: Enable or disable lock sounds for quiet operation.
  • Time Attendance: Track daily attendance for staff accessing the door via app, card, or passcode.

5.3 Locking Mechanisms

  • Auto-Lock: The lock will automatically engage after a set period once the door is closed.
  • Privacy Deadbolt: Press the deadbolt button on the rear panel to engage double safety. This prevents ordinary users from opening the door; only administrators can unlock it.
  • Push Up Reverses Locked: Pushing up the handle engages the reverse lock mechanism.

6. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: The lock is powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries. Replace them when the low battery alarm sounds. Battery life is approximately 6-12 months.
  • Emergency Power: If batteries completely drain, use a power bank or phone charger connected to the micro-USB port for temporary power.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Waterproof Design: The lock features a waterproof gasket design and is IP66 rated, offering protection against rain and dust.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Low Battery Alarm: The lock will emit an alarm when the battery is low. Replace the 4 AA batteries promptly. If completely drained, use the micro-USB port for emergency power.
  • Anti-Skid Alarm: If the door lock is pried open, it will trigger a loud anti-skid alarm to deter burglars and alert the homeowner.
  • Anti-Hacking Protection: The lock is designed with anti-hacking measures to prevent unauthorized electronic manipulation (e.g., 'Tesla box' attacks).
  • Lock Not Responding: Check battery levels. If the issue persists, try using the mechanical key or emergency USB power. Ensure the app is connected via Bluetooth or the G2 gateway is online.
