7. Maintenance and Care
- Water Resistance: The watch is 50M water resistant. You can wear it for bathing, swimming, and washing your car. However, DO NOT press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water, as this can compromise the water seal. Avoid exposure to hot water or steam (e.g., hot showers, saunas) as this can damage the seals.
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to solvents, detergents, perfumes, or other chemical agents, as they may damage the case, band, or seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (both high and low) for prolonged periods.
- Shock: While the watch is shock-resistant, avoid severe impacts or dropping it from heights.
- Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance is maintained.
8. Troubleshooting
- Watch not displaying time/blank screen: Check if the battery needs replacement. If recently replaced, ensure it was installed correctly.
- Buttons not responding: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a feature of this model). If wet, dry thoroughly. If still unresponsive, the internal mechanism might be faulty.
- Inaccurate time: Adjust the time as per the 'Time and Date Setting Mode' instructions. If the time consistently runs fast or slow, the movement may require servicing.
- Water inside the watch: If you notice condensation or water droplets inside the watch, stop using it immediately and take it to a professional for inspection and repair to prevent further damage.
9. User Tips
Based on user feedback, here are some general tips:
- Size Consideration: Some users have noted the watch is quite large. Please refer to the specifications (Dial Diameter: 54mm, Case Thickness: 18mm) to ensure it meets your preference before purchase.
- Read the Manual: The digital functions can be complex initially. Take time to familiarize yourself with the button operations as outlined in this manual.
