CRITICAL: Voltage Matching Guide
To prevent damage, you MUST match the solar panel voltage to your battery system:
- For 12V Battery: Use 15V-28V Solar Panel
- For 24V Battery: Use 30V-55V Solar Panel
- For 36V Battery: Use 45V-68V Solar Panel
- For 48V Battery: Use 60V-98V Solar Panel
Note: Do not use a high voltage panel to charge a low voltage battery directly.
Correct Installation Sequence (Important):
Follow these steps precisely. Reverse order may damage the controller.
- Connect Battery First: Connect the battery to the controller. The LCD will light up and detect the voltage. It is recommended to add an air switch for protection between the battery and the controller.
- Connect Solar Panel: Connect the PV array to the controller. If there is sufficient sunlight, the charging indicator will activate.
- Connect Load: Connect your DC load (if any) to the controller.

This diagram illustrates the correct connection order: 1. Battery, 2. DC Load, 3. PV Panel. It shows positive and negative terminals, a breaker for the PV panel, and an inverter connected to the battery. Supported battery types include Lead acid and Lithium batteries.

A general system connection diagram showing the solar panel connected to the solar power controller, which then connects to the battery. An inverter is connected to the battery for AC loads, and a DC load is also connected to the controller.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Display Screen Overview

The LCD shows various parameters including battery voltage, charging current, load current, and operational modes. The 'Operate Mode Select' area allows selection between Charging, Light control and delay, Universal Control, Manual, Timing, and OK/Fault.
Battery Work Status Display Area:
When the battery is charging, four bars will display dynamically, indicating the current battery level. The display also shows battery voltage and discharge current, toggling at 5-second intervals.
Operating Status Area of Solar Panel:
When the solar panel is connected and generating power, the solar icon will display, indicating charging status. If it doesn't display, it means charging has stopped.
Load Output Status and Parameters Displaying Area:
When the battery discharges, the load icon lights up. If it's off, there is no discharge. The display shows temperature in Celsius, and 'Time ON OFF' for timing modes. When 'C' is displayed, it shows four numerical values for the controller's temperature. When '%' is displayed, it shows four numerical values for the electric quantity of the battery. When 'Time' is displayed, it shows 24-hour time. When 'Time ON' is displayed, it shows the start time of the timing control mode. When 'Time OFF' is displayed, it shows the stop time of the timing control mode or light and time delay control mode.
3.2 Operating Modes
The product is a multi-functional LCD solar controller with clock display and seven operating modes. The control modes change based on the trouble-free condition. Specific instructions are as follows:
- Charging Mode: In any case, never discharge.
- Light Control Mode: When the controller detects night, it will delay ten minutes then start to discharge. When it detects daytime, it will delay ten minutes then stop discharging.
- Light and Time Delay Control Mode: When the controller detects night, it will delay ten minutes then start to discharge and count down. If the timer stops by zero, discharge will stop. The longest duration of delay is 23:59.
- Universal Control Mode: Under the trouble-free condition, it always keeps discharging.
- Manual Control Mode: Use the "▼" button for discharging or not.
- Timing Control Mode: It opens or closes the discharge regularly.
- Test Mode: It is the same as light and time delay control mode but only loses ten minutes of time delay.
The controller still discharges under low voltage protection. Touch-holding "▼" for 5 seconds, discharge continues to output. But discharge is only stopped by hand. Notice that this performance may damage the battery, be careful with it!
3.3 Numerical Values and Mode Adjustment

This image details how to adjust numerical values, set time, and modify operating modes using the controller's buttons.
- Numerical Values and Mode Adjustment: Use "▲" for numerical values and mode adjustment. "■" for setting/confirmation. "▼" for displacement and impulse start/stop.
- Time Setting: When charged, immediately enter time setting state. Load output and the first one (the first one to the left) of the four values in the parameters display area flicker. This means that this place is changeable. Press "▲" to adjust, press "▼" for displacement adjustment. If time needs adjusting again, then long press "■" for 5 seconds to enter time setting state.
- Mode Adjustment: Press "■", the current control mode can flicker, then press "▲" to get the needed control mode, then press "■" again to confirm.
- Delay Stop Time Adjustment of Light Control + Delay Stop Control Mode: When "Light Control and delay" is chosen and confirmed, it will automatically pop up the delay stop time parameters. The operational approach is the same as time setting operation. Load output and the display area of all parameters will show "Time OFF". After adjusting, then press "■" to get back to the display mode. If delay stop time parameters needs modifying again, directly press two times of "■" to enter delay stop time parameters adjustment.
- The Adjustment of Start Time and Stop Time of Timing Control Mode: When "Timing" control mode is chosen and confirmed, it will automatically pop up time parameters start. The operational approach and time setting are the same. Load output and the display area of all parameters will show "Time ON". After adjusting start time and pressing "■", it will automatically enter stop time parameters adjustment. Load output and the display area of all parameters will show "Time OFF". After finishing adjustment, press "■" to get back to display mode.
3.4 Normal and Fault Display Area
"OK" keeps on, which means that the controller is in normal state.
"Fault" flickers, which means that the controller detects the abnormalities of battery's voltage, discharge current or controller's temperature. When the battery's voltage is abnormal, "Fault" flickers. In the meantime, the value of voltage also flickers. When the discharge current is too large, "Fault" flickers. Meanwhile, abnormal current value also flickers. When the controller's temperature exceeds 75℃, "Fault" flickers, and the value of temperature also flickers.
4. Maintenance
- Keep the controller clean and free from dust to ensure proper heat dissipation.
- Regularly check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Ensure the temperature sensor (3.3ft length) is placed near the battery to accurately compensate battery charge voltages and extend battery lifespan.
- Avoid exposing the controller to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures beyond its operating range (-25℃ to 55℃).
