Setup

1. Initial Battery Installation & Charging

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
  2. Insert the included 21700 rechargeable battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the flashlight head.
  3. Screw the tail cap back on tightly.
  4. Locate the USB Type-C charging port on the flashlight body. Open the protective cover.
  5. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the flashlight's Type-C port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer, power bank).
  6. The indicator light on the switch will glow RED during charging. It will turn GREEN when the battery is fully charged.
  7. Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable and securely close the charging port cover to maintain waterproof integrity.

2. Attaching the Wrist Strap

Thread the included wrist strap through the loop on the tail cap of the flashlight to prevent accidental drops during use.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Mode Selection (Normal Mode)

The NICRON B66 features a single side switch for all operations.

  • Turn On/Off: A single quick press of the switch will turn the flashlight on or off.
  • Cycle Modes: When the flashlight is on, press and hold the switch for approximately 0.5 seconds to cycle through the normal brightness modes: Moonlight (10 LM) → Low (150 LM) → Medium (450 LM) → High (1500 LM) → Max (4300 LM). Release the switch to select the desired mode. The flashlight has mode memory and will turn on in the last used normal mode.

Special Modes (SOS & Strobe)

  • Activate Flashing Modes: From any state (on or off), press and hold the switch for approximately 2 seconds to activate the flashing modes. It will cycle between SOS (450 LM) and Strobe (450 LM). Release the switch to select the desired flashing mode.
  • Exit Flashing Modes: A single quick press of the switch will turn off the flashlight from flashing modes.

Lock/Unlock Function (Anti-False Activation)

To prevent accidental activation, especially when carrying the flashlight in a bag or pocket:

  • Lock: From the OFF state, double-click the switch rapidly. The flashlight will briefly flash to indicate it is locked.
  • Unlock: Double-click the switch rapidly again. The flashlight will briefly flash and then turn on in the last used mode, indicating it is unlocked.

Power Bank Function

The NICRON B66 can be used as a power bank to charge other devices.

  1. Open the protective cover of the USB Type-C charging port.
  2. Connect the provided 3-in-1 USB charging cable (or another compatible cable) to the flashlight's Type-C port.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to the device you wish to charge (e.g., smartphone).
  4. The flashlight will begin charging the connected device.
  5. Remember to close the charging port cover after use.

Battery Level Indicator

The indicator light on the switch also provides battery status:

  • Green Light: Battery level is approximately 100% - 50%.
  • Green Light Flashing 3 times: Battery level is approximately 50% - 20%.
  • Red Light: Battery level is approximately 20% - 5%.
  • Red Light Flashing (turns off after 2 minutes): Battery level is approximately 5% - 0%. Recharge immediately.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the O-rings and screw threads to maintain waterproof sealing and smooth operation. Replace O-rings if they appear damaged or worn.
  • Battery Care: If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent potential leakage. Store the battery in a cool, dry place.
  • Waterproof Seal: Always ensure the charging port cover and tail cap are tightly closed before exposing the flashlight to water.

Troubleshooting
