5.2. CANBUS & Steering Wheel Controls

If your screen harness includes CANBUS protocol control, the steering wheel control function can be used directly. If not, follow the steps below:

  1. CANBUS Protocol Control: If your harness includes CANBUS, ensure the CANBUS RX TX wire (8 PIN) is connected. If the steering wheel control function doesn't work, enter Factory Settings (Password: 3368, 123456, or 8888), select 'Select Models', choose the correct CANBUS brand, car model, and year, then save and reboot. If issues persist, contact technical support.
  2. Non-CANBUS Control: Connect the factory harness wire steering wheel to our harness match Key 1/Key 2/Key GND. Some car models may require manual wire cutting. Click the 'steering wheel learning' icon to enter the learning page. Touch the function icon, press the corresponding button on your steering wheel, complete all button learning, then save.

Diagrams illustrating the benefits of a 360 panoramic system, including field of view, blind spot avoidance, and recording capabilities.

Figure 7.1.1: 360 Panoramic Camera Benefits

Installation Reference for 360 Panoramic Camera:

  1. The vertical inclination angle of the left and right lenses should be between 25° and 45°.
  2. Left and right lenses should be installed in the flat middle part under the rearview mirror, symmetrical, and flush with the protruding surface of the front swallow board.
  3. Front and rear cameras should be installed in the center as high as possible, with minimal height difference. Tilt the angle horizontally by 30-45 degrees. Minimum installation height of 40cm from the ground.
  4. The glass surface of the front and rear cameras should be flat with the protruding position of the car body to prevent the lens from being recessed.
  5. After installation, adjust the position and angle of the cameras through the four-screen image to achieve the best angle effect.

Calibration Reference for 360 Panoramic Camera:

  1. Use a 7.5M measuring tape to measure distances between vehicles and front offset.
  2. Arrange the debugging cloth according to prompts, aligning the center point of the front and rear debugging cloth with the vehicle body center. The cloth edges should be about 30 cm away from the front and rear of the car.
  3. Check camera installation and cloth placement through the four-split screen in the 360 software debugging.
  4. Align the specified position on the calibration cloth with a tape measure, record AD (distance between inner edges of front and rear cloth), AB (distance between left and right cameras), and EG (front offset).
  5. Enter calibration settings (password is 4321 or 1234 or 0000) and perform panorama adjustment.
  6. Enter camera lens specifications, front offset distance, left and right spacing.
  7. Enter the model keyword and select the best match.
  8. Select automatic splicing. If successful, save the spliced data. If automatic splicing fails, use manual calibration by drawing points.
