7. Maintenance

7.1 SD Card Management

  • Formatting: Regularly format your Micro SD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Remember to back up any important footage before formatting.
  • Capacity: The dash cam supports up to 256GB Micro SD cards. Ensure you use a high-quality Class 10 or U3 card for reliable high-definition recording.

7.2 Cleaning

  • Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the camera lenses. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Device Body: Wipe the dash cam body with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

7.3 General Care

  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-20°C to 80°C).
  • Do not attempt to dismantle the device yourself, as this will void the warranty.

8. Troubleshooting (FAQ)

8.1 Camera CANNOT turn ON?

  • Solution 1: The camera should turn ON automatically when power is supplied. If not, check the power cord connection. Long-press the Power Button to turn it on again.
  • Solution 2: If the power cable is well connected but the camera still doesn't work, remove the SD card, press the Reset Button (located at the bottom of the device, often a small pinhole), then long-press the Power Button to turn it on.

8.2 Videos are fuzzy?

  • First: Ensure protective films are removed from lenses and that lenses and windshield are clean.
  • Second: If the lens is out of focus, contact support with a sample video/screenshot. Note that wide-angle lenses may cause some image distortion, which is normal.

8.3 Overexposure while recording videos?

  • Check if the camera lens is pointing too high towards the sky. Adjust its angle slightly downwards. For the rear camera, install it near the license plate and point down slightly.

8.4 Camera Freezing, Lagging or Crashing?

  • First: Replace the SD card with a new, high-quality one (Class 10 or U3). If this resolves the issue, your previous SD card may be faulty.
  • Second: If replacing the SD card doesn't help, remove the SD card, press the Reset Button, then long-press the Power Button to turn it on.

8.5 Camera turns itself ON / OFF frequently?

  • First: Check the power cable connection. Ensure it is fully plugged in and well connected.
  • Second: If the power cable is connected correctly, remove the SD card, press the Reset Button, then long-press the Power Button to turn it on. If the issue persists, contact support.

8.6 Earliest video files are missing?

  • This is due to the Loop Recording function. When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked video clips are automatically deleted to make space for new recordings. Locked videos are not auto-deleted.
  • To verify, set the date/time, format the SD card, record several clips, and check if all videos are saved. If they are, the missing files are a normal part of loop recording.

8.7 Videos locked frequently and automatically?

  • You may have set a high G-sensor sensitivity. Change the G-sensor sensitivity to a lower level in the settings. If the issue persists even on 'Low' setting, turn the G-sensor OFF or contact support for a firmware update.

8.8 "Card Full" reminder frequently?

  • First: Format the SD card, set G-sensor to prevent frequent locking, and set record time to loop.
  • Second: If the above doesn't work, press the Reset Button to reset the camera.

8.9 Memory card inserted correctly, but reminds: "SD Error", "NO SD Card", etc.?

  • First: Ensure you are using a standard compliant memory card. If not, replace it.
  • Second: If using a standard card, try formatting the SD card, long-press Power Button to turn camera off, then re-plug the power cable to restart.
  • Third: If the issue persists, try taking snapshots. If a shutter sound is heard, the camera is likely working, but the SD card is defective. Replace the SD card. If not, contact support.

8.10 Rear camera view is flipped or left-right reversal?

  • Adjust the "Rear Mirror" setting in the Setting Menu.

8.11 Video playback on PC is lagging?

  • This may be due to viewing high-bit rate video with a slower PC. Try setting the camera to a lower resolution and record a video, then check playback.

8.12 Camera doesn't turn off after the car is off?

  • This usually indicates the car's cigarette lighter doesn't connect to 12V ACC. It's recommended to use a hardwire kit (purchased separately) connected to the car's fuse box for proper power management and to prevent battery drain. Alternatively, unplug the car charger manually each time you leave the car.

8.13 Camera cannot record video or take photos?

  • Ensure you are using the provided or a standard compliant SD card.
  • Ensure the SD card is formatted and inserted correctly.

8.14 Suction mount cannot attach on windshield well?

  • Clean the windshield with a glass cleaning wipe. Remove any protective film from the suction cup. If it still doesn't work, contact support for a replacement.

8.15 Color of the video or photo is not good?

  • Try changing the front camera video resolution.

9. User Tips

  • Continuous Power: The dash cam's built-in battery is primarily for emergency power-off. For continuous recording, the device needs to be constantly connected to a power source (e.g., car charger).
  • Power Connector: The dash cam uses a Type-C connector for power. Always use the provided charger and cable for optimal performance.
  • Parking Monitoring: For 24-hour parking monitoring, a separate OBD buck cable (hardwire kit) is required to draw power directly from the car battery or ACC. Professional installation of the buck cable is highly recommended.
  • SD Card Quality: Invest in a high-quality, branded Micro SD card (Class 10 or U3 speed) to ensure reliable recording, especially for high-definition video.
  • GPS Module: If using a GPS module, ensure it is connected and the car is driven outdoors for a period to allow it to acquire satellite signals and record track data.
