3. Setup
- Charge the Handle: Before first use, fully charge the toothbrush handle. Place the handle on its charger (charger not included). The battery indicator will show charging status.
- Attach a Brush Head: Align your compatible Philips Sonicare brush head (not included) with the metal shaft of the handle and push it down firmly until it clicks into place.
- Initial Rinse: Rinse the brush head thoroughly before first use.
4. Operating Instructions
Your Philips Sonicare toothbrush host offers various modes and care levels for a personalized brushing experience.
4.1 Power On/Off
- Press the power button (refer to Figure 1) to turn the toothbrush on or off.
4.2 Selecting Brushing Modes
After turning on the toothbrush, press the mode selection button (below the power button, refer to Figure 1) to cycle through the available modes:
- Clean: Standard mode for superior everyday cleaning.
- White: Removes surface stains for a brighter smile.
- Massage: Gently stimulates and massages gums.
4.3 Selecting Care Levels
Some models may feature care level options (Go Care, Max Care, refer to Figure 1). Press the care level button to switch between:
- Go Care: A quick, effective clean.
- Max Care: An extended, thorough cleaning cycle.
4.4 Brushing Technique
- Wet the brush head and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
- Place the brush head against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline.
- Turn on the toothbrush.
- Guide the brush head slowly across your teeth, allowing the bristles to do the work. Do not scrub.
- Brush all four quadrants of your mouth evenly.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
5.1 After Each Use
- Rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water.
- Wipe the toothbrush handle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the handle in water.
5.2 Regular Cleaning
- Periodically remove the brush head and clean the metal shaft area with a damp cloth to remove any toothpaste residue.
- Ensure the charging contacts on the bottom of the handle are clean and dry.
5.3 Storage
- Store the toothbrush in a dry place when not in use.
- For extended storage, ensure the battery is partially charged.
