6. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Press the 'on/off' button located on the top of the polisher handle to turn the unit on or off. The battery level and current gear position will be displayed visually.
  2. Adjust Speed: The polisher features 8 variable speed settings (2800-5500 RPM). Use the speed adjustment buttons (usually '+' and '-') to select the desired speed. You can adjust the speed without stopping the machine.
  3. Application-Specific Speed Guide:
    • 1-3 Speeds: Ideal for delicate tasks such as spreading wax, or polishing jade and porcelain.
    • 4-6 Speeds: Suitable for even waxing on surfaces like leather floors.
    • 7-8 Speeds: Recommended for lower wax polishing, and polishing of automotive furniture or car paint correction.
  4. Polishing Technique: Apply light, even pressure. Move the polisher in a consistent pattern across the surface. The eccentric shaft design ensures a larger contact surface and reduces the risk of damaging the paint, making it suitable for beginners.
  5. Monitor Battery Level: Keep an eye on the visual battery level indicator during operation. When the battery is low, replace it with a freshly charged one.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, remove the polishing pad/disc. Wipe down the polisher body with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Pad Care: Clean used sponge pads and wool covers with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before storing.
  • Battery Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, charge batteries to about 50% capacity.
  • General Storage: Store the polisher and its accessories in the provided storage bag in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Polisher does not turn on:
    • Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted.
    • Check if the on/off button is functioning correctly.
  • Reduced performance or short battery life:
    • Ensure batteries are fully charged before use.
    • Batteries may degrade over time; consider replacing old batteries.
    • Avoid excessive pressure during operation, which can strain the motor and drain the battery faster.
  • Excessive vibration or noise:
    • Ensure the polishing pad/disc is correctly centered and securely attached.
    • Check for any foreign objects caught in the mechanism.

9. User Tips

  • Battery Charging: The polisher kit includes a battery charger. Always ensure your batteries are fully charged before starting a polishing task to maintain consistent power and performance.
  • Pad Selection: Use the correct type of pad for each step of your detailing process (e.g., cutting pad for scratch removal, polishing pad for swirl removal, finishing pad for wax/sealant application).
  • Test Spot: Always perform a test spot on an inconspicuous area first to ensure the chosen pad, product, and speed setting yield the desired results without damaging the surface.
  • Clean Surface: Ensure the surface to be polished is clean and free of dirt and debris to prevent scratching during operation.
