5. Setup Instructions

5.1 Power Connection

The AK55 amplifier can be powered by either AC mains or 12V DC. Only one power method should be used at a time.

  • AC Power: Connect the provided AC power cable to the AC power input (6) on the rear panel and then to a suitable wall outlet (AC 110-240V, 50Hz-60Hz).
  • DC Power: For 12V DC applications (e.g., car), connect a 12V/5A DC adapter to the DC 12V/5A input (5) on the rear panel. If using in a car, use the car cigarette lighter power supply to avoid noise. For trucks (24V), a step-down device to 12V is mandatory.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AK55 amplifier, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    - Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the amplifier and the power outlet.
    - Ensure the power switch is in the "ON" position.
    - If using DC power, verify the 12V/5A adapter is functioning correctly.
  • No Sound Output:
    - Check speaker connections for correct polarity and secure fit.
    - Ensure the volume is turned up on both the amplifier and the audio source.
    - Verify the correct input mode is selected (Bluetooth, AUX, MP3, FM).
    - Test with a different audio source or speakers to isolate the problem.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues:
    - Ensure the amplifier is in "BT" mode and discoverable.
    - Make sure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and within range.
    - Forget "AK55" from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • Noise/Distortion:
    - If using in a car, ensure you are using the cigarette lighter power supply, not direct battery connection.
    - Check audio cables for damage or loose connections.
    - Reduce the volume of the audio source if it's too high, causing input overload.
  • Microphone Not Working:
    - Ensure microphones are 6.5mm dynamic microphones.
    - Check microphone cable connections.
    - Adjust the MIC Volume Control (12) on the front panel.

If the problem persists, please consult the official seller for further assistance.
