4. Product Overview

5. Initial Setup
5.1 Battery Installation

- Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.

5.3 Antenna Attachment
- Screw the antenna clockwise into the antenna connector on top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

6.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control

- Channel Mode: Use the Channel/Frequency knob or the UP/DOWN arrow keys on the keypad to select a stored channel.
- Frequency Mode (VFO): Press the V/M button to switch to Frequency Mode. Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys or the Channel/Frequency knob to adjust the frequency. You can also directly input frequencies using the numeric keypad.
6.3 Transmitting and Receiving
- To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone.
- Release the PTT button to receive.
6.4 Menu Navigation
Press the MENU button to enter the menu. Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to navigate through options. Press MENU again to select an option, and EXIT to go back or exit the menu.
6.5 VOX Function (Voice Operated Transmit)
