4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove the pump and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
  2. Choose Outlet Caliber: Select the appropriate outlet caliber (18mm or 25mm) based on your hose size and desired flow. Attach it securely to the pump's outlet nozzle.
  3. Connect Hose: Attach your desired hose or tubing to the selected outlet caliber. Ensure a snug fit to prevent leaks.
  4. Position the Pump: Place the pump in your aquarium, pond, or sump. Use the integrated suction cups on the base of the pump to secure it firmly to a clean, smooth surface. Ensure the pump is positioned vertically or horizontally as required for your application, and that it will be fully submerged when operating.
  5. Submerge Completely: Ensure the pump is fully submerged in water before connecting it to power. The maximum dive depth for this pump is 1 meter.
  6. Connect to Power: Plug the pump's power cable into a suitable 220-240V electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Initial Start-up: After completing the setup, ensure the pump is fully submerged in water. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet. The pump should start immediately, and water should begin to flow.
  2. Monitoring: Observe the water flow and ensure there are no unusual noises or vibrations.
  3. Power Off: To turn off the pump, simply unplug it from the electrical outlet. Always unplug the pump before performing any maintenance or handling it.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your SOBO WP-5000 pump.

  • Disconnect Power: ALWAYS unplug the pump from the power outlet before attempting any maintenance.
  • Clean Impeller: Periodically remove the pump cover and impeller assembly. Clean any debris, algae, or mineral buildup from the impeller and its housing using a soft brush and clean water.
