6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ATTACK SHARK X2 mouse, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the mouse. For stubborn smudges on the transparent shell, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Liquids: Do not immerse the mouse in water or expose it to excessive moisture. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the mouse in a cool, dry place. Ensure the 2.4G receiver is stored securely in its designated slot on the mouse.
  • Battery Care: Avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Charge the mouse when the battery indicator suggests low power.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Mouse not connecting in 2.4Ghz Wireless mode:
    - Ensure the mode switch on the back of the mouse is set to '2.4G'.
    - Verify the 2.4G receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your device.
    - Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port.
  • Mouse not connecting in Bluetooth mode:
    - Ensure the mode switch on the back of the mouse is set to 'Bluetooth'.
    - Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
    - If 'X2 Mouse' does not appear or connect, initiate pairing mode by pressing and holding the Left Button + Scroll Wheel Button + Right Button simultaneously for 4 seconds until the blue light flashes rapidly. Then, search and connect on your device.
  • Mouse not responding in Wired mode:
    - Ensure the mode switch is set to 'OFF'.
    - Check that the USB-C cable is firmly connected to both the mouse and your device.
    - Try using a different USB port or cable.
  • DPI settings are not changing:
    - Ensure you are pressing the correct DPI button (refer to Figure 1).
    - If the issue persists, try restarting the mouse by switching it off and on.
  • Battery life seems short:
    - Ensure the mouse is fully charged before use.
    - The auto-sleep function should help conserve power; ensure it's not being woken up inadvertently.
    - If using RGB lighting constantly, it will consume more power.

8. User Tips

  • For optimal gaming performance, consider using the 2.4Ghz wireless mode for its stable and low-latency connection.
  • When switching between multiple devices, the tri-mode functionality allows for quick transitions, enhancing productivity.
  • Utilize the silent click feature in quiet environments like libraries or offices to avoid disturbing others.
