5.2. Advanced Operating Settings

  • Set Door Opening Delay Time: The door opening time can be set from 1 to 99 seconds. The factory default is 5 seconds.
  • Set Pause Mode & Toggle Mode: In this mode, after opening the door, it will not close automatically until the next valid user input. This means you must swipe a valid card or input a valid fingerprint to either open or close the door.
  • Multi-User Combined Door Unlock: You can set a requirement for 2-9 users to input their credentials continuously to unlock the door. For example, if set to 9 users, the door will only unlock after 9 valid users input their credentials consecutively.
  • Door Magnetic Detection Setting: Configure whether to turn off or turn on the door magnetic alarm. This also involves setting up an external alarm switch.
  • Security Alarm Mode Setting: Choose between turning off security mode, turning on deadlock (lockout) mode, or turning on alarm mode.
  • Data Transmission: This feature allows for the transmission of user card and user password data between compatible machines. Both machines must be from our company and support this function.
  • Sound & Light Setting: You can toggle the machine's sound (on/off) and the red indicator light (on/off).

  • Firmware Updates: Check the TuyaSmart app periodically for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Responding:
    - Check the power supply connections to ensure the device is receiving adequate power (DC 9-18V).
    - Verify all wiring connections are secure and correct according to the diagrams in Section 3.
  • Fingerprint Not Recognized:
    - Ensure the fingerprint sensor is clean and free of dirt or moisture.
    - Try re-enrolling your fingerprint in the system or via the Tuya app.
    - Ensure your finger is placed correctly and covers the entire sensor area.
  • RFID Card Not Working:
    - Confirm that you are using a compatible 125KHz EM card.
    - Re-enroll the RFID card if it was previously working.
    - Ensure the card is held within the 2-6 cm reading range.
  • Door Not Unlocking/Locking:
    - Check the connection to the electric lock. Ensure it is properly wired to the relay output (NO, NC, COM).
    - Verify the door opening delay time setting. If set too short, the lock might re-engage prematurely.
    - If using multi-user combined unlock, ensure all required users have authenticated.
  • Tuya App Connectivity Issues:
    - Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
    - Ensure the device is within Bluetooth range.
    - Try restarting the TuyaSmart app or your phone.
