Setup and Installation
This electric cooktop is designed for drop-in installation and requires hard-wiring to a 220-240V power supply. It does not come with a plug.

Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Countertop: Ensure your countertop has a cut-out of 22.0in (560mm) x 19.3in (490mm) x 1.97in (50mm). Refer to Figure 4 for detailed dimensions.
- Electrical Connection: This appliance must be installed by a qualified electrician. The cooktop requires a 220-240V power supply. If your home voltage is 110V, the provided wiring diagram (Figure 4) illustrates how to achieve the necessary 220-240V connection. A good earth wiring system is essential and mandatory. The cooktop uses a 5-wire cable for connection.
- Drop-in Installation: Carefully lower the cooktop into the prepared cut-out in your countertop. Ensure it sits flush and is securely supported.
- Final Checks: After installation, verify all connections are secure and the cooktop is properly grounded.
Operating Instructions
The Karinear Electric Cooktop features user-friendly electronic knob controls for each burner.

To Operate:
- Place Cookware: Position your compatible cookware centrally on the desired burner.
- Turn On: Rotate the corresponding knob clockwise to turn on the burner and select a heat level from 1 to 9.
- Adjust Heat: Adjust the knob to increase or decrease the heat level as needed for your cooking task (e.g., melt, simmer, boil, fry).
- Turn Off: Rotate the knob counter-clockwise back to '0' to turn off the burner.
- Residual Heat Indicator: After turning off a burner, the Residual Heat Indicator will remain lit if the surface is still hot. Do not touch the surface until the indicator light turns off.
The cooktop supports various cooking functions including HOTPOT, TIMING, Soup Stewing, Stir-fry, Steam & Boil, Porridge Cooking, Milk Stewing, Water Boiling, Fry, Temperature Adjustment, Mild Fire Stewing, and Intense Fire.

- Ensure Cool: Always ensure the cooktop surface is completely cool before cleaning. The Residual Heat Indicator must be off.
- Wipe Down: For light spills and daily cleaning, simply wipe the surface with a clean, damp cloth.
- Stubborn Stains: For more stubborn stains, use a ceramic cooktop cleaner and a non-abrasive sponge. A scraper is included in the packaging for tough, dried-on food.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals as they can damage the glass surface.
- Fingerprint and Scratch Resistant: The black microlite panel is designed to be fingerprint-proof and scratch-resistant, making cleaning easier.
Troubleshooting
