Thank you for choosing the KW-triO 2-Hole Paper Punch. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, setup, and maintenance of your new paper punch. Designed for versatility and ease of use, this punch features adjustable hole distances and a high sheet capacity, making it ideal for various paper sizes and document preparation needs.

2. Safety Guidelines

  • Keep fingers and loose clothing away from the punching mechanism during operation.
  • Do not attempt to punch materials other than paper, as this may damage the punch or cause injury.
  • Ensure the punch is placed on a stable, flat surface before use.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

3. Setup and Adjustment

3.1 Adjusting Hole Distance (70mm/80mm)

The KW-triO paper punch allows you to adjust the distance between the two holes to accommodate different binding standards. Follow these steps to change the hole distance:

  1. Locate the buckle on the side of the punch mechanism. Turn the buckle to push out the latch.
  2. Carefully pull out the two cutters from their current positions.
  3. Exchange the positions of the cutters (labeled A and B) to switch between 70mm and 80mm settings.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Uneven Holes: Ensure paper is inserted flat and pushed completely to the back guide. Check that the positioning ruler is correctly set and secured.
  • Punching Difficulty: Verify that you are not exceeding the maximum paper capacity (70 sheets of 80 gsm). Ensure the blades are free of debris.
  • Jammed Paper: If paper becomes jammed, gently remove it by pulling it straight out. Do not force the handle. Empty the scrap tray if it is full.
  • Blunt Blades: Over time, blades may become dull. The protective pad helps prolong blade life, but if punching quality significantly degrades, consider contacting support for service options.
