3. Product Features

4. Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the different parts of your Mileseey PF3S Laser Rangefinder:

Product Keypad and Component Introduction.
- **Objective Lens / Laser Emitter**: Where the laser beam is emitted.
- **Laser Receiving Lens**: Where the laser beam is received.
- **Power / Measure Button**: Used to power on the device and initiate measurements.
- **Mode / Unit Switch Button**: Used to cycle through measurement modes and switch units (meters/yards).
- **Eyepiece Knob**: Adjusts the focus for clear viewing.
- **External Display Power Switch**: Controls the power for the external display.
- **Angle Switch**: Toggles the angle sensor on/off. When off, angle-related functions cannot be used.
- **Wristband Hole**: For attaching a wrist strap.
5. Setup
5.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the device.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert one 3V CR2 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Battery is not included with the device.
5.2. Initial Power On
Press the **Power / Measure button** once to turn on the device. The display will light up.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Adjusting Focus
Rotate the **Eyepiece knob** until the display and target appear clear and sharp.
6.2. Switching Measurement Units (Meters/Yards)
With the device powered on, short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** to cycle through available measurement units (meters or yards).
6.3. Measurement Modes
The PF3S offers 7 measurement modes. Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** to cycle through them.
6.3.1. Point-to-Point Ranging Mode
- Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** until the point-to-point icon appears.
- Aim at target A, press the **Power / Measure button**.
- Aim at target B, press the **Power / Measure button**. The measured distance between A and B will be displayed.
- Move to target C, press the **Power / Measure button**. The measured distance between A and C will be displayed. The distance and angle between B and C will also be calculated and displayed.
Note: Stand still while measuring the target.

6.3.2. Golf Slope Adjusted Mode
This mode provides trajectory compensation for golf. If you are in a concave or hillside area, select this mode, target the flag, and press the measure key to get the actual distance.
- Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** until the golf slope adjusted icon appears.
- Aim at target B (e.g., flagpole) and short press the **Power / Measure button**.
- The measured distance between A and B, and the slope adjusted distance and angle will be displayed.
Slope adjusted angle/Slope range: -20° to +20°.

6.3.3. Golf Scanning Mode
- Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** until the golf scanning icon appears.
- Aim at target B, short press the **Power / Measure button** (flag icon is flashing).
- Scan slowly back and forth on both sides of the measured target. After 1.5 seconds, the flagpole stops flashing, and the data shows the measured distance between A and B, slope adjusted distance, and angle.

6.3.4. Distance, Height, Angle Measurement
- Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** to activate this mode.
- Aim at target B, press the **Power / Measure button** to get the measured distance between A and B, height, distance, and angle between B and C.

6.3.5. Vertical Height (between two points)
- Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** to activate vertical height measuring mode.
- Aim at target B, press the **Power / Measure button** to get the distance and angle (angle between the measured distance and horizontal surfaces) between A and B.
- Move to target C, press the **Power / Measure button** to get the distance and angle between the measured distance and horizontal surface) between A and C. The vertical height between B and C will be displayed on the top, and the absolute value of the difference between the two angles will be displayed at the bottom.

6.3.6. Speed Measuring Mode
- Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** to activate the speed measuring mode.
- Aim at target B and move slightly. The speed of the movement can be measured accordingly.
Note: The angle 'α' must be less than 10°. The smaller the angle, the higher the accuracy.

6.3.7. Flagpole Lock Ranging (Close-range priority)
- Short press the **Mode / Unit switch button** to enter flagpole lock ranging mode.
- Aim at target B, short press the **Power / Measure button** to get the distance between A and B.
This mode is mainly used to measure small objects in long range under close-range priority principle.

6.4. Angle Switch Function
The device includes an angle switch for different usage situations:
- **Open the angle**: It can be used by all different measurement modes, including angle-related functions.
- **Closing the angle**: Slide the switch to the left to turn off the angle sensor and angle showing. In this state, only distance measurement and scan functions can be used.

6.5. External Display Screen
The external display screen provides real-time measurement data, making it convenient for others to view. You can control the screen switch for energy saving.

7. Maintenance
- **Cleaning**: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device body. For lenses, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution designed for optics.
- **Storage**: Store the rangefinder in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if the device will not be used for an extended period.
- **Protection**: The device is made with non-toxic and environmentally friendly soft rubber, providing anti-skid and wear-resistant properties. However, avoid dropping or subjecting it to harsh impacts.
