4. Setup and Connection

4.1 Charging the Scanner

The Eyoyo EY-037 offers multiple charging options:

Method 1: Using the Multipurpose Base (Wireless Charging)
Place the barcode scanner directly onto the multipurpose base. Ensure the base is connected to a power source via its USB cable (e.g., computer, POS system, or USB wall adapter). The base acts as a wireless transceiver and charging dock.

Method 2: Direct USB Charging
Connect the scanner directly to a USB power source using the provided USB to Type-C charging cable. If your device only has Type-C ports, use the included USB to Type-C converter for compatibility.

4.2 Connection Modes

The scanner supports three connection methods:

Bluetooth Connection: For wireless connection to Bluetooth-enabled devices.
2.4G Wireless Connection: Utilizes the multipurpose base as a wireless transceiver. Connect the base to your device's USB port.
USB Wired Connection: Connect the scanner directly to your device via a USB cable.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Scanning Barcodes

The EY-037 scanner uses advanced CMOS technology for fast and accurate scanning. Point the scanner's red light at the barcode you wish to scan. The scanner can read 1D, 2D, and QR barcodes from both printed materials and digital screens.

5.2 Upload Modes

The scanner supports two data upload modes:

Instant Upload Mode: Barcodes are scanned and immediately transmitted to the connected device. This mode is active when the scanner is within range of a Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless connection.
Storage Mode: If the scanner is out of connection range, it will store scanned barcodes internally. You can then upload the stored data to your device once a connection is re-established. The scanner can store up to 100,000 barcodes.

5.3 Programmable Configuration

Add suffixes to scanned data.
Remove characters from the front or end of scanned data.

Problem	Possible Solution
Scanner not connecting via Bluetooth/2.4G wireless.	Ensure the scanner is in the correct connection mode (Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless). For 2.4G wireless, ensure the multipurpose base is securely connected to your device's USB port. Check if the scanner's battery is charged. Try re-pairing the scanner with your device.

Scanned data is incorrect or incomplete.	Verify the keyboard language setting on the scanner matches your device's keyboard layout. Check for any active programmable configurations (prefixes/suffixes) that might be altering the data.

When working in environments where constant connection is not guaranteed, leverage the Storage Mode to prevent data loss and upload in batches later.
