Setup Instructions
1. Battery Charging
- Connect the 21V charger to a standard power outlet.
- Insert the 1500mAh Lithium Battery into the charger.
- Allow the battery to charge fully before first use. The charger typically indicates full charge with a light change.
2. Chain and Guide Plate Installation
Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw before performing any assembly or maintenance.
- Remove the side cover of the chainsaw.
- Place the guide plate onto the mounting studs.
- Carefully fit the saw chain around the guide plate and the drive sprocket. Ensure the chain teeth are oriented correctly for cutting (refer to the arrow on the chain or guide plate).
- Replace the side cover and loosely tighten the retaining nut.
- Use the dual-purpose screwdriver to adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled slightly away from the guide bar (about 2-3mm).
- Once tension is correct, fully tighten the retaining nut.
3. Lubrication
The chainsaw features a special guide plate with tungsten steel ball bearings that do not require lubrication for the guide plate itself. However, it is recommended to periodically apply a small amount of lubricating oil to the chain to reduce friction and wear. Use the provided oil pot for this purpose.

Operating Instructions
Always wear safety goggles and anti-slip gloves before operating the chainsaw.
1. Starting the Chainsaw
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely inserted into the chainsaw.
- Grip the handle firmly with one hand.
- Press and hold the safety lock button (usually located near the trigger).
- While holding the safety lock button, press the main switch button to start the chainsaw. Release the safety lock button once the chainsaw is running.
- The chainsaw features stepless speed change; adjust the pressure on the switch button for desired cutting speed.
2. Cutting Techniques
- Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands if possible, or one hand if the task requires it and you maintain a secure grip.
- Position the chainsaw so the chain makes contact with the material to be cut.
- Apply gentle, steady pressure. Do not force the chainsaw through the material.
- For larger branches or logs, make a relief cut on the underside first to prevent pinching.
- Be aware of kickback, especially when the tip of the guide bar contacts an object.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- After each use, remove the battery and clean the chainsaw thoroughly.
- Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust, chips, and debris from the chain, guide bar, motor vents, and housing.
- Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
2. Chain Care
- Regularly check the chain for sharpness. A dull chain will cut slowly and inefficiently.
- Sharpen the chain as needed using a suitable chainsaw file, or replace it with one of the provided spare chains.
- Ensure proper chain tension before each use.
3. Battery Care
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Charge them periodically if not in use.
- Avoid dropping or damaging the battery pack.
- The battery is equipped with overvoltage, over temperature, overload, and overdischarge protection for enhanced safety and longevity.

4. General Inspection
- Periodically check all screws and fasteners for tightness.
- Inspect the power cord and charger for any damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw does not start | Battery not charged or improperly inserted; Safety lock not engaged; Overload protection activated. | Ensure battery is charged and correctly inserted. Press safety lock and switch simultaneously. Allow motor to cool if overheated. |
| Poor cutting performance | Dull chain; Incorrect chain tension; Chain installed backward. | Sharpen or replace chain. Adjust chain tension. Reinstall chain with correct orientation. |
| Chainsaw stops during operation | Battery low; Overload protection activated. | Recharge battery. Reduce cutting pressure; allow motor to cool. |
| Excessive vibration or noise | Loose chain; Damaged chain or guide bar. | Adjust chain tension. Inspect chain and guide bar for damage and replace if necessary. |
User Tips
- Battery Compatibility: While the chainsaw comes with its own 21V 1500mAh battery, some users inquire about compatibility with other brands like Makita or Bosch. It is generally recommended to use only the battery and charger provided by DayPlus to ensure optimal performance and safety. Using incompatible batteries may void your warranty or cause damage.
- Chain Maintenance: Keep your chain sharp for efficient cutting and to prolong battery life. A dull chain will require more effort and drain the battery faster.
- Proper Storage: When not in use, store the chainsaw in its carry case to protect it from dust and damage.
