4. Maintenance
4.1. Battery Replacement
When the lights blink quickly, it indicates that the remote's battery is low and needs replacement. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 2.1 to replace the AAA batteries.
4.2. Cleaning and Care
- Keep the remote control dry. Do not use it in humid environments or areas with high temperatures.
- Clean the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Avoid exposing the remote to static electricity.
- Do not use poor quality batteries, as they may leak and damage the remote.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1. Light Not Responding to Remote
- Check Battery: Ensure the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Re-link Light: If the light is not responding, try unlinking and then re-linking the light to the remote as described in Sections 2.3 and 2.4.
- Compatibility: Verify that your LED lamps are MiBoxer/Mi-Light 2.4G series products. This remote is not compatible with other systems (e.g., Zigbee).
- Obstructions: Ensure there are no wide-range metal objects or strong electromagnetic interference between the remote and the light, as this can affect the 2.4GHz signal. The remote has a control distance of 30m in barrier-free space.
5.2. Linking/Unlinking Failure
- Ensure the timing for pressing the 'I' button (3 times for linking, 5 times for unlinking) is precise and within 3 seconds of turning the light on.
- Confirm the light was completely off for at least 10 seconds before turning it back on for the linking/unlinking procedure.
