8. User Tips
- Internet Connectivity: The alarm system's core functionality, such as local siren activation and sensor triggers in 'Away' or 'Home' mode, operates independently. However, for remote control via the Smart Life APP, push notifications, and integration with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, a stable 2.4GHz WiFi internet connection is required.
- SIM Card for 2G/4G Models: If you have a 2G or 4G version of the panel, ensure any PIN code on the SIM card is disabled using a mobile phone before inserting it into the panel. This is crucial for SMS and call features to function correctly.
- Customizing Sensor Names: To easily identify which sensor has been triggered, remember to rename your accessories in the Smart Life APP after pairing. This allows for clear alerts like "Entry Alarm: Front Door" instead of generic sensor IDs.
- Preventing False Alarms: When installing motion sensors, place them at the recommended height (79-87 inches) and avoid areas where pets might trigger them or where there are strong air currents from vents.
- Screen Cleaning: Utilize the dedicated 'Clean' mode in the Settings menu before wiping the screen to prevent accidental inputs and ensure a spotless display.
