  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself, as this may void the warranty.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the device to aid in heat dissipation, especially during extended use.

7. Troubleshooting and Firmware Upgrade

7.1 Connection Issues

  • Ensure Wired CarPlay/Android Auto is Present: The adapter requires your car to have a factory-installed wired CarPlay or Android Auto system.
  • Check Phone OS Version: Ensure your iPhone runs iOS 10+ or your Android phone runs Android 11+.
  • Verify Phone Compatibility: Huawei, Xiaomi, and Redmi phones are not supported for wireless functionality.
  • Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be active on your mobile phone for successful pairing and connection.
  • CarPlay Activation on Phone: If you've connected Bluetooth and Wi-Fi but CarPlay isn't launching, ensure CarPlay is enabled on your phone. Refer to this video for guidance: Enable CarPlay on Phone Video.

Video 7.1: Demonstrating how to enable CarPlay on your phone.

  • Power Supply: Ensure the adapter is receiving stable 5V power. Recommended power sources are the car's USB port (if it supports data transfer for wired CarPlay/Android Auto) or a dedicated USB 5V power supply. Using the original car's CarPlay interface for power is not recommended if it causes instability.
