2. Setup and Installation

General Installation Notes

  1. Since the machine moves during transportation, it is attached with a protective film to prevent damage. Before use, please record some videos to test the camera's quality.
  2. Use only the original power supply. Using another brand of power supply may damage or burn the equipment.
  3. If you want to use the parking monitoring or motion detection function, you need to use a buck line (Hardwire kit) to connect the video recorder to the car battery (the buck line is sold separately).
  4. Install this unit near the rear-view mirror so that you can record a wide-angle landscape at its maximum.
  5. Ensure that the lens is within the wiper's range so that you can record clearly even in the rain.
  6. Do not touch the lens with your finger. Finger oil can remain on the lens, causing unclear video or still images. Clean the lens regularly with a soft cloth to remove dust. Avoid chemical detergents, gasoline, alcohol, or anti-static sprays.
  7. This product is suitable for most cars. For trucks, pay attention to the length of the car charger line.
  8. Please scan the provided QR code to watch our installation video before installing the video recorder. It is highly recommended to ask a professional auto mechanic to complete the installation at an auto shop.

Rear Camera Installation

Connect the rear camera's red cable wire with your car's reverse lamp positive pole (+). Then, plug the car charger into the cigar lighter to power the car DVR. When you shift your car into Reverse Gear, the car DVR will automatically switch to the rear camera with parking lines, enabling the auto-reversing function.

Buck Line Installation (for 24H Parking Monitoring)

The buck line is used to provide continuous power to the DVR for 24-hour parking monitoring without occupying the cigarette lighter interface. You will need to find two fuse slots for this step:

  1. A fuse slot that provides constant power (RED wire will go here).
  2. A fuse slot that only provides power when you turn your key to the ACC position (YELLOW wire will go here).
  3. Connect the BLACK wire to the grounding screw or bolt.

5. Troubleshooting (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. What if the dash cam cannot be turned on?
    • Plug in the car charger and try to turn it on by pressing the On-Off key for about 3 seconds.
    • Charge the dash cam for about 5 minutes before turning it on, then manually restore factory settings.
    • Press the Reset button through the pin to restore factory settings.
  2. What if the dash cam turns on or off automatically?
    • The dash cam needs to be plugged into the car charger for use. The built-in battery has small capacity and is mainly used for parking monitor mode to record important videos.
    • Support Class 10 or above Micro SD Card. Please format the card before use.
  3. What if the product cannot read the card?

Please use a genuine Class 10 or above Micro SD Card. Format the SD Card on the computer before use, and then insert the card correctly (there will be slight rebound resistance when inserted correctly).

  4. What if the video function cannot be used normally?

Please format the micro SD card in the dash cam before using. Support 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB micro SD card, Class 10 or above is recommended.

  5. What if the product cannot be used normally after working for a period of time?
    • It is possible that the G-sensor function is set, leading to too many locked files and preventing loop recording. Manually delete locked files.
    • Check if the G-sensor sensitivity is set to High. If too high, files might be locked due to road bumps and prevent overwriting. Set G-sensor from high to medium or low.
    • Use motion detection only when not driving.
  6. What if the rear camera doesn't work?
    • The rear camera is not connected properly. Check whether the rear camera is connected correctly.
    • The rear camera's wiring is not connected tightly, or there is a loose contact at the interface. Check whether the rear camera's connection is normal.
  7. What if the image from the rear camera is upside down?

The rear camera is installed in the wrong direction. Adjust to the correct installation mode.

  8. What if the screen turns black after turning it on for about one minute?

The Screen Dormant function is turned on in settings. Please turn off this function.

  9. What if the product cannot set the date and time correctly?

Ensure the product has enough power. Enter system settings, find the date and time option, and set it. After setting, manually turn off the dash cam to complete the date and time setting.

  10. Why does the product automatically heat up?
    • The product has been used for a long time.
    • The temperature in the car is too high.
  11. Recordings have wrong date/time (e.g., January date)?

Set the date and time through the settings menu. After setting, manually turn off the dash cam. Time setting is completed.

  12. The recorded image is not clear?
    • There is a protective film on both front and rear camera lenses. Peel off both films before use.
    • Check if the windshield is clean.
  13. The sound of the button is very noisy?

Select "OFF" for the operation voice (OFF/ON) button in the system settings (Optical).
