6.3. Sensor Pairing

  1. After connecting power to both the main unit and the outdoor sensor, all LCD icons will light up for 3 seconds, and you will hear a buzzer. The main unit will then check indoor temperature, humidity, and pressure.
  2. The weather station will automatically attempt to connect to the outdoor remote sensor. This process takes approximately 3 minutes.
  3. During pairing, a flashing RF antenna symbol will be displayed in the "OUT" display area on the receiver.
  4. Once successfully connected, the outdoor temperature and humidity will be displayed in the "OUT" column.
  5. If the weather station fails to receive transmission (displaying "--" on the LCD), touch and hold the "CH" location for 3 seconds to manually initiate transmission. The "OUT" area will show an animation of the RF antenna symbol, and the weather station will re-receive the wireless signal.

8. User Tips

  • Power Source for Continuous Backlight: For a continuously lit display, it is recommended to use the USB power cable. Batteries will only provide temporary backlight activation.
  • Sensor Compatibility: The outdoor sensor is designed to work specifically with this weather station model. Ensure you select the correct sensor if purchasing separately.
  • Multiple Sensors: The weather station supports connecting up to three wireless outdoor sensors. To add additional sensors, ensure they are set to different channels (1, 2, or 3) using the switch inside the battery compartment.
  • Barometric Pressure: Yes, the device includes a barometric pressure meter. For accurate relative pressure readings, calibrate it with local weather service data.
  • Indoor Temperature: The main unit itself measures indoor temperature and humidity, so a separate sensor is not needed for indoor readings.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1. No Outdoor Sensor Reading ("--" on LCD)

  • Ensure batteries are correctly installed in the outdoor sensor and have sufficient charge.
  • Check that the outdoor sensor is within the 60-meter transmission range and there are no major obstructions.
  • Manually initiate transmission by touching and holding the "CH" button on the main unit for 3 seconds.
  • Verify the outdoor sensor's channel switch (C6) is set to a unique channel (1, 2, or 3) if multiple sensors are used.

9.2. Display Shows "LL.L" or "HH.H"

  • This indicates that the temperature or humidity reading is outside the measurable range. Ensure the device and sensor are operating within their specified temperature and humidity limits.

9.3. Low Battery Warning

  • If a battery icon appears in the "IN" or "OUT" column, replace the batteries in the respective unit (main station or outdoor sensor) as soon as possible.

9.4. Alarm Not Sounding or Not Deactivating

  • Check that the alarm is set to ON in the alarm settings.
  • Ensure the volume is not too low (though the alarm has a crescendo feature).
  • To stop a sounding alarm, press any button except "☼/zZ". To exit snooze mode, press any button except "☼/zZ" or hold "☼/zZ" for more than 2 seconds.

10. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears to ensure continuous operation and prevent corrosion.
  • Placement: Place the main unit indoors in a stable location. Position the outdoor sensor in a sheltered area to protect it from direct rain and sunlight, while ensuring good air circulation for accurate readings.
