5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Recording

Once the receiver is plugged into your device and the microphone transmitter is powered on and paired, you can begin recording using your device's native camera app or any third-party recording application. The microphone will automatically be recognized as the audio input source.

5.2 Noise Reduction (ENC)

The microphone features built-in intelligent noise reduction (ENC) which is enabled by default. This helps to filter out ambient noise, ensuring clearer audio in various environments.

5.3 Bluetooth Mode (Background Music & Dodge Function)

To use the Bluetooth mode for background music or the 'Dodge' function:

  1. Ensure the microphone transmitter is powered on.
  2. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and connect to the microphone (e.g., "Wireless M2").
  3. In Bluetooth mode, you can play background music from your device.
  4. To activate the 'Dodge' mode, press the volume up button on the microphone for 2 seconds. When 'Dodge' mode is active, the background music volume will automatically decrease when you speak into the microphone, highlighting your voice. This function is only active in Bluetooth mode.

5.4 Reverb Function

The microphone includes a reverb function to add an echo effect to your audio, making it sound more dynamic. Refer to the specific buttons on your microphone transmitter for activating and deactivating the reverb function (usually a dedicated button or a long press on a volume button).

5.5 Monitoring

Connect the monitor headphones to the microphone transmitter's monitoring port to listen to your audio in real-time during recording. This allows you to ensure optimal sound quality and adjust your speaking volume as needed.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microphone and receiver. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the microphone system in its provided storage box when not in use to protect it from dust and damage.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the microphone frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in constant use.
  • Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Microphone not recording:
    • Ensure the receiver is securely plugged into your device's charging port.
    • Verify the microphone transmitter is powered on and successfully paired with the receiver (indicated by solid lights).
    • Confirm that you are NOT attempting to record via Bluetooth. The microphone requires the physical receiver for audio input during recording. Bluetooth is for background music playback only.
    • Check your device's audio input settings to ensure the external microphone is selected.
    • Ensure the microphone is charged.
  • Poor audio quality/noise:
    • Ensure the windproof fleece is properly attached, especially in windy conditions.
    • Check for obstructions between the microphone and receiver.
    • Ensure you are within the effective transmission distance (up to 10 meters).
    • Avoid placing the microphone too close to external noise sources.
  • No sound from monitor headphones:
    • Ensure headphones are fully plugged into the microphone transmitter's monitoring port.
    • Check headphone volume settings on the microphone or your device.
