6.3 General Operation

  • The dual-axis brushes will simultaneously wash the floor with clean water (and steam in steam mode) and wipe it dry, while the dual inner spiral suction channels collect dirt and wastewater.
  • The appliance provides real-time voice reminders for low clean water or full dirty water tanks.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Deerma X30.

7.1 Emptying the Dirty Water Tank

  • When the dirty water tank is full (indicated by a voice reminder and flashing red lights), turn off and unplug the appliance.
  • Remove the dirty water tank and carefully dispose of the contents. The solid and liquid separation feature helps in easy disposal without dirtying your hands.
  • Rinse the tank and filter screen with clean water. Ensure the laminated filter screen is free of debris to prevent backflow.
  • Reinstall the clean dirty water tank.

7.2 Self-Cleaning Function

The X30 features a one-key steam self-cleaning function for brushes and pipes.

  • After cleaning, place the appliance on its base.
  • Press the self-cleaning button (refer to Figure 4.3 for button location).
  • The appliance will initiate a 30-second high-temperature steam cleaning program, automatically cleaning the brushes and internal pipes.

7.3 Descaling Mode

To prevent scale buildup, especially in hard water areas, use the descaling mode periodically.

  • Add a small amount of citric acid (not included) to the clean water tank.
  • Activate the descaling mode (refer to the control panel or voice prompts for specific instructions). This helps prevent scale from blocking the steam pipes.

7.4 Brush Maintenance

  • To remove the dual-axis brushes for deeper cleaning or replacement, open the side cover of the floor brush (latch-type design).
  • Use the small handle on the edge of the brushes to easily pull them out.
  • Clean any entangled hair from the brushes. The double-row metal sawtooth design helps minimize entanglement, but occasional manual cleaning may still be necessary.
  • Rinse the brushes under running water and allow them to air dry completely before reinstallation.
