Introduction

The Aubess MINI-Z1 Tuya Zigbee Smart Switch Module is a compact device designed to convert traditional light switches into smart switches, enabling remote control, voice control, and smart automation through the Tuya Smart Life app. This module supports 1, 2, 3, or 4 channels, allowing flexible control over various lighting setups. It integrates seamlessly with Zigbee 3.0 networks and is compatible with popular voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Yandex Alice.

Note: This smart switch module requires a Tuya Zigbee Gateway (hub) to function. It cannot operate independently without a Zigbee hub.

Setup

1. What's in the Box

Your package should contain the Aubess MINI-Z1 Tuya Zigbee Smart Switch Module. Please check for any visible damage upon receipt.

2. Requirements

• A functional Tuya Zigbee Gateway (hub).
• A smartphone or tablet with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app installed.
• AC power supply (100-240V, 50/60Hz).
• Existing light switch (rocker or touch type, not compatible with reset switches).
• Basic electrical wiring knowledge and safety precautions.

3. Installation

The MINI-Z1 module is designed for easy installation behind a traditional wall switch or directly into a lamp fixture. Its ultra-mini size (41x41x22 mm) allows it to fit into most standard installation boxes.

1. Power Off: Before any electrical work, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is turned OFF at the circuit breaker.
2. Access Switch Box: Remove your existing light switch from the wall box.
3. Wiring: Connect the module according to the appropriate wiring diagram for your setup (1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang, or 4-gang, with or without an existing switch). Ensure all connections are secure.
4. Placement: Carefully place the module inside the switch box behind your existing switch or within the lamp fixture.
5. Restore Power: Once installed, restore power to the circuit.

4. Pairing with Tuya Zigbee Gateway and App

1. Ensure your Tuya Zigbee Gateway is powered on and connected to your home network.
2. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your smartphone.
3. Add a new device: Follow the app's instructions to add a new Zigbee device. This usually involves putting the gateway into pairing mode and then powering on the smart switch module.
4. The module should be detected and added to your app. You can then rename it and assign it to a room.

Operating Instructions

1. App Remote Control

Once paired, you can control your lights from anywhere using the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. Simply open the app, select the switch, and tap to turn your lights on or off.

2. Voice Control

Integrate the module with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Yandex Alice for hands-free control. After linking your Tuya account to your voice assistant, you can use simple voice commands:

• "Alexa, turn on the living room light."
• "Hey Google, turn off the bedroom lamp."

3. 2-Way Control Function

The module supports 2-way control, allowing you to control a single light from two different physical switch locations, such as at the top and bottom of a staircase. This feature upgrades your existing wiring without complex modifications.

4. Status Memory Function

The module can be configured to remember its last state (on/off) after a power outage and recovery. This ensures your lights return to their previous status, preventing unexpected illumination or darkness.

5. Group Control Function

Group multiple smart switch modules together in the app to control several lights simultaneously. This is useful for controlling all lights in a room or an entire floor with a single command.
