Product Overview
The Ulanzi MT-78 is a versatile phone tripod with a detachable Bluetooth remote controller, designed for use with smartphones, DSLR cameras, and mirrorless system cameras. It functions as both a tripod and a selfie stick, offering flexible height adjustment and a multi-angle ball head for various photography and videography scenarios.

Setup Instructions
Unfolding the Tripod/Selfie Stick
To use as a tripod, gently pull the legs outwards until they form a stable triangle. To use as a selfie stick, keep the legs folded and extend the center column.

The 7-section center column allows for flexible height adjustment up to a maximum height of 1850mm (72.83 inches), excluding the phone clamp height.

Attaching Your Device (Phone/Camera)
The MT-78 features a dual cold shoe mount and a 1/4" quick-release plate for various devices.

- For Smartphones: Insert your phone into the phone clamp. The clamp width is adjustable from 6.5cm to 10cm (2.56 inches to 3.94 inches). Ensure the phone is securely held.
- For Cameras (DSLRs, Mirrorless): Attach your camera to the 1/4" screw on the quick-release plate. Securely tighten the screw. Then, slide the quick-release plate into the cold shoe mount until it locks automatically.

Pairing the Bluetooth Remote Controller
The MT-78 comes with a detachable wireless remote control for hands-free operation from over 10m away.
- Turn on the remote control (usually by pressing and holding a button until an indicator light flashes).
- On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select "Ulanzi Remote" or a similar name to pair. The indicator light on the remote will stop flashing once paired.

Operating Instructions
Using as a Tripod
Extend the legs and place the tripod on a stable surface. Adjust the height using the 7-section center column. The ball head supports 360° pan and 180° tilt for precise positioning. A reinforced knob helps prevent tipping.

Using as a Selfie Stick
Fold the tripod legs together to form a handle. Extend the center column to your desired length. The ball head allows for seamless horizontal-to-vertical swift, perfect for selfies and vlogging.

Adjusting Angles and Orientation
The integrated ball head provides maximum flexibility:
- 360° Pan: Rotate your device horizontally for panoramic shots or tracking subjects.
- 180° Tilt: Adjust the vertical angle of your device to capture high or low shots.
- Horizontal-to-Vertical Swift: Easily switch between landscape and portrait orientations without remounting your device.

Maintenance
- Keep the tripod clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the tripod to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals.
- When not in use, fold the tripod to its compact size for easy storage and transport.

Troubleshooting
- Remote Control Not Connecting:
- Ensure the remote control is charged (if applicable) and turned on.
- Check your device's Bluetooth settings to ensure it's discoverable and the remote is paired. Try unpairing and re-pairing if issues persist.
- Ensure you are within the 10-meter operating range.
- Phone Not Stable in Clamp:
- Verify that your phone's width is within the clamp's range (6.5cm-10cm).
- Ensure the phone clamp is fully tightened and securely holding the phone.
- Check if the quick-release plate is properly seated and locked into the cold shoe mount.
- Tripod Instability:
- Ensure the tripod legs are fully extended and spread out on a flat, stable surface.
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 1kg (2.2lb).
- Check that the reinforced knob is tightened to prevent unwanted movement.
