2. Safety Information
- Ensure the timer is used with a power supply matching its rating (220-240V AC, 50Hz).
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 16A / 3680W. Overloading can cause damage to the timer and connected appliances, and poses a fire risk.
- Always check the power consumption of the appliance you intend to control before plugging it into the timer.
- If the appliance has its own power switch, ensure it is switched ON for the timer to control its power supply.
- This device is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to moisture or extreme temperatures.

5. Setup
- Initial Power-up: Plug the timer into a 230V/50Hz wall outlet. The internal rechargeable Ni-MH battery will begin charging.
- Resetting the Timer: Before first use or after a long period of disuse, press the small 'R' (Reset) button using a pointed object (e.g., a pen tip). The LCD will display 'MO 00:00' and enter clock mode, clearing all previous settings.
- Connecting Appliances: Plug the appliance you wish to control into the socket on the timer. Ensure the appliance's own power switch (if any) is in the ON position. Verify that the appliance's power consumption does not exceed the timer's maximum load of 3680W.
6. Operating Instructions
The following instructions detail how to set up and use the various functions of your SINOTIMER digital timer. For visual reference, please consult the detailed instruction diagram below.

6.1. Setting Current Time
- Press the CLOCK button.
- While holding CLOCK, press WEEK repeatedly to set the current day of the week. (Long press WEEK for rapid adjustment).
- While holding CLOCK, press HOUR repeatedly to set the current hour. (Long press HOUR for rapid adjustment).
- While holding CLOCK, press MIN repeatedly to set the current minute. (Long press MIN for rapid adjustment).
- Release CLOCK to save the current time.
6.2. Programming ON/OFF Cycles (Up to 20 programs)
- Press the PROG button once. The display will show '1 ON ---'. This is your first ON program.
- Press WEEK to select the desired day(s) for this program. You can choose individual days or pre-set day groups (e.g., Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun, Mon-Sat, etc.).
- Press HOUR and MIN to set the desired ON time.
- Press PROG again. The display will show '1 OFF ---'. This is your first OFF program.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set the desired OFF day(s) and time.
- Continue pressing PROG to cycle through and set up to 20 ON/OFF programs.
- To save all programs and exit, press the CLOCK button, or wait 15 seconds for it to automatically return to normal operation mode.
6.3. Countdown Function
- Press PROG repeatedly until the display shows 'CON ---'.
- Use HOUR and MIN buttons to set the desired countdown duration (from 1 minute to 99 hours and 59 minutes). Long press for rapid adjustment.
- Press MODE to select whether the output should turn ON or OFF at the end of the countdown.
- Press CLOCK to save and start the countdown, or wait 15 seconds for it to automatically return to normal operation mode.
- To interrupt an active countdown, press and hold DEL for more than 3 seconds. The display will flash 'CD'. Press DEL again for more than 3 seconds to resume or clear.
6.4. Random Function
This function switches the output ON and OFF at random times within a set period, providing a security measure when you are away.
- From clock mode, press and hold the HOUR button for more than 3 seconds. The 'R' icon will appear on the display, indicating the random function is active.
- The timer will now switch ON and OFF randomly within a pre-defined range (e.g., ON for 10-26 minutes, OFF for 20-43 minutes).
- To deactivate the random function, press and hold the HOUR button for more than 3 seconds again. The 'R' icon will disappear.
6.5. Summer/Winter Time Setting
- From clock mode, press and hold the CLOCK button for more than 3 seconds. The current time will advance by one hour, and an 'S' icon will appear on the display, indicating summer time is active.
- To revert to standard time, press and hold the CLOCK button for more than 3 seconds again. The time will decrease by one hour, and the 'S' icon will disappear.
6.6. Manual Override
You can manually switch the timer output ON, OFF, or AUTO (follow programs) at any time, independent of the current program.
- Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through:
- ON: Output is always ON.
- OFF: Output is always OFF.
- AUTO: Output follows the programmed ON/OFF cycles.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Battery: The timer has a built-in rechargeable Ni-MH battery that maintains settings during power outages. This battery is not user-replaceable. If the timer consistently loses settings, the internal battery may need professional servicing.
- Storage: If storing the timer for an extended period, ensure it is fully charged by plugging it in for at least 4 hours before storage.
