7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the camera regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the official BOBLOV website periodically for any available firmware updates to improve performance and add features.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Camera Not Turning On

  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the camera to a power source and charge for at least 30 minutes.
  • Try a different USB-C cable and power adapter.

8.2. Cannot Record Video/Photos

  • Check if a MicroSD card is properly inserted.
  • Ensure the MicroSD card has sufficient free space.
  • Format the MicroSD card (this will erase all data).
  • The card might be faulty; try a different MicroSD card.

8.3. Poor Video Quality

  • Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges or dust.
  • Check lighting conditions. While the camera has night vision, extremely dark environments may still affect quality.
  • Ensure the camera's resolution settings are set to 1080P.

8.4. Camera Freezes

  • Press and hold the Power button for an extended period (e.g., 10-15 seconds) to force a shutdown.
  • If the issue persists, try removing and reinserting the MicroSD card.

9. User Tips

  • Versatile Mounting: Utilize the 1/4" universal thread to attach the camera to various accessories like bicycle mounts, helmet mounts, or extension rods for diverse recording scenarios. (Note: Bicycle mount accessory is NOT included and needs to be purchased separately).
  • Optimal Night Vision: For best results with night vision, ensure there are no direct light sources pointing at the lens, as this can cause glare.
  • Regular Data Backup: Periodically transfer your recorded footage to a computer or external storage to prevent data loss and free up space on your MicroSD card.
