Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Slide the battery cover lock to open the compartment.
  3. Insert the rechargeable battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
  4. Close the battery cover and slide the lock to secure it.

2. Memory Card Installation

The camera supports MicroSD/TF cards up to 128GB. A Class 10 or UHS-I (U1) speed rating is recommended for optimal performance, especially for 4K video recording.

  1. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card until it clicks out.

3. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the battery (approximately 3 hours).

  1. Connect the camera to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter) using the provided USB cable.
  2. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

4. Using the Waterproof Case

The waterproof case allows the camera to be used up to 30 meters (98 feet) underwater.

  1. Ensure the camera is securely placed inside the waterproof case.
  2. Close the latch firmly to create a watertight seal.
  3. Before submerging, always perform a dry test by placing only the empty case underwater to check for leaks.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Mode button for a few seconds.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Mode button again until the screen turns off.

2. Mode Selection

Press the Mode button repeatedly to cycle through the main modes:

  • Video Recording Mode: Indicated by a video camera icon.
  • Photo Capture Mode: Indicated by a camera icon.
  • Playback Mode: Indicated by a play icon.
  • Settings Menu: Indicated by a gear icon.

3. Video Recording

  1. Switch to Video Recording Mode.
  2. Press the OK button to start recording. A red dot or recording indicator will appear on the screen.
  3. Press the OK button again to stop recording.

4. Photo Capture

  1. Switch to Photo Capture Mode.
  2. Press the OK button to take a photo.

5. Navigating the Settings Menu

  1. Switch to the Settings Menu.
  2. Use the Up/Down buttons to navigate through options.
  3. Press the OK button to select an option or enter a sub-menu.
  4. To exit a sub-menu or the settings, press the Mode button.

Key settings include:

  • Video Resolution: Select from 4K 30FPS, 2.7K 30FPS, 1080P 60FPS, 1080P 30FPS, 720P 120FPS.
  • Photo Resolution: Adjust image quality (16MP, 12MP, 8MP).
  • White Balance: Adjust color temperature.
  • Wi-Fi: Enable/disable Wi-Fi.
  • Image Rotation: Rotate the image.
  • Driving Mode: For use as a dashcam.
  • Light Source Frequency: Adjust for flicker reduction.
  • LED Indicator Light: Turn indicator lights on/off.
  • Auto Screensaver: Set screen timeout.
  • Auto Shutdown: Set auto power-off time.

6. Wi-Fi Connection (XDV App)

Connect your camera to a smartphone or tablet for remote control and file transfer.

  1. Download the 'XDV' app from your device's app store.
  2. On the camera, enable Wi-Fi through the settings menu or by pressing the dedicated Wi-Fi button (if available).
  3. On your smartphone/tablet, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network (usually named similar to 'AT-Q1' or 'ActionCam'). The default password is often '1234567890'.
  4. Open the XDV app to control the camera, view live footage, and download files.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera lens and LCD screen. For the waterproof case, rinse with fresh water after saltwater use and allow to air dry.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures. If not using the camera for an extended period, remove the battery.

  • Waterproof Case Seal: Regularly inspect the rubber seal of the waterproof case for any dirt, debris, or damage. Clean and ensure it's free of obstructions for a proper seal.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged and correctly installed. Try charging the camera for at least 30 minutes.
  • Cannot record video/take photos: Check if a Micro SD card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Ensure the card is formatted correctly (FAT32).
  • Poor video/photo quality: Check the selected resolution in the settings. Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges.
  • Wi-Fi connection issues: Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on the camera and your mobile device. Double-check the Wi-Fi password. Ensure your device is within the 10-20m Wi-Fi range.
  • Waterproof case leaking: Immediately remove the camera. Inspect the rubber seal for damage or debris. Ensure the latch is fully closed and secured.
