3. Setup Instructions
3.1. Installing the Host Unit
The M6S host unit can be installed using either the clamp or the 3M adhesive clip, depending on your helmet type and preference.
Using the Clamp:
- Lift the left lining of your helmet.
- Insert the clamp into a suitable position on the helmet's edge.
- Tighten the screws on the clamp to secure it firmly.
- Slide the M6S host unit into the clamp until it clicks into place.
- Insert the headset plug into the headset jack on the host unit to complete the installation.
Using the 3M Adhesive Clip:
- Choose an appropriate, flat position on the left side of your helmet for the adhesive clip. Ensure the surface is clean and dry.
- Stick the 3M adhesive clip firmly onto the chosen position.
- Slide the M6S host unit into the adhesive clip, ensuring it is firmly locked.
3.2. Installing Loudspeakers and Microphone
Proper placement of the loudspeakers and microphone is crucial for optimal audio quality and communication.
- Lift the lining at the ear position inside your helmet.
- Stick the provided Velcro loops onto the helmet lining at the ear positions.
- Attach the loudspeakers to the Velcro loops. Ensure the loudspeaker with the shorter cable is installed on the left side.
- Stick the butterfly sticker (for the microphone) at an appropriate position on the left side of the helmet.
- Align the microphone with your mouth position.
- Organize the cables neatly within the helmet lining to avoid discomfort and ensure they are not exposed.
3.3. Removing the Host Unit
To remove the M6S host unit:
- Unplug the headset cable from the host unit.
- If using the clamp, press the buckle at the top of the clamp and slide the host unit upward to remove it.
- If using the 3M adhesive clip, carefully slide the host unit out of the clip.
