5.2 Pedal Assist System (PAS)
The ESKUTE ES-26-RWXD offers 5 levels of pedal assist. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display control panel to adjust the assist level.
- Level 0: No electric assistance.
- Level 1-5: Increasing levels of motor assistance as you pedal. Higher levels provide more power and speed.
5.3 Throttle Operation
The thumb throttle provides instant power without pedaling. Gently press the thumb throttle to engage the motor. The throttle can be used independently or in conjunction with pedal assist.
5.4 Gear Shifting
Your bike is equipped with SHIMANO 7-Speed gears. Use the shift lever on the handlebar to change gears. Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat terrain or downhill riding.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Care
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
6.2 Tire Maintenance
- Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI.
- Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or punctures before each ride.
6.3 Brake System
- Check brake pads for wear and replace as needed.
- Ensure brake levers feel firm and responsive. If they feel spongy, the hydraulic system may need bleeding (professional service recommended).
- Keep brake rotors clean and free of oil or grease.
6.4 Drivetrain (Chain and Gears)
- Clean and lubricate the KMC chain regularly to prevent rust and ensure smooth shifting.
- Inspect gears for wear or damage.
6.5 General Cleaning
- Clean the bike with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid high-pressure washing, especially near electrical components.
- Do not submerge any electrical parts in water.
6.6 Suspension
- Periodically check the front fork and rear suspension for proper function and any signs of leaks.
- Ensure all suspension bolts are tight.
7. Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Bike not powering on: Check if the battery is properly installed and charged. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Motor not assisting: Verify that the pedal assist level is not set to 0. Check battery charge. Ensure the speed sensor is clean and unobstructed.
- Brakes feel weak: Inspect brake pads for wear. Check for air in the hydraulic lines (requires professional service). Ensure rotors are clean.
- Gears not shifting smoothly: Clean and lubricate the chain. Check for bent derailleur hanger or damaged shift cable (professional adjustment may be needed).
- Unusual noises: Stop riding immediately and inspect the bike for loose components, rubbing parts, or damaged bearings.
For persistent issues, please contact ESKUTE customer support or a certified e-bike technician.
