6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  1. After each use, clean the probe with non-corrosive detergents and wipe it dry. The probe has an IP67 waterproof rating and is dishwasher safe.
  2. Do not clean the charging case with running water or immerse it in water, as it is not waterproof and may cause damage to the battery. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth to wipe it, being careful not to let water infiltrate.

6.2 Storage and Battery Care

  1. Store the entire unit (probe in charging case) in a cool, dry place, away from children.
  2. Do not store this product in extreme weather, high humidity, direct sunlight, or environments with temperatures below 0°C or above 300°C (572°F), as this may affect battery life or cause damage.
  3. If storing the product for a long time, charge the battery to about 50% to prevent deep discharge. Do not fully charge before storage, as this may shorten battery life.
  4. Do not disassemble or replace the internal battery yourself.
  5. If the battery level is too low, temperature measurements may be incorrect, indicator lights and alarms may be disabled, and the device may disconnect from the app. Charge it promptly.

7. Important Notes and Warnings

  • This product is not suitable for use in microwave ovens or pressure cookers.
  • When in use, ensure the probe is inserted into the center of the food and above the safe cooking line, avoiding hard bones.
  • Do not use the probe in a cooking environment with a temperature higher than 300°C (572°F) or lower than -10°C (14°F). Do not cook directly on an open fire or burning charcoal, as this may damage the probe battery.
  • Keep the charging case away from fire, heat sources, and direct sunlight.
  • Do not touch the hot probe with bare hands during or after cooking. If it is necessary to touch the probe, use a tool with sufficient heat insulation to avoid scalding.
  • If the probe falls out of the food, stop heating immediately and wait for it to cool down before removing it.
  • This product is designed for barbecuing and cooking only. Any other use is not recommended.

8. Troubleshooting Guide

IssuePossible Solutions
My probe readouts are inaccurate?
  1. You can calibrate the temperature using the app.
  2. Check if the current temperature has exceeded or once exceeded the probe's measurement range, which could cause damage.
  3. Do not immerse the probe in water for extended periods. This probe is designed for food use only.
What if my device cannot connect to Bluetooth?
  1. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on, the device has sufficient power, and the probe is taken out of the case.
  2. Make sure the positioning function on your smartphone is enabled and the application is allowed to access location information.
  3. Verify the distance between the probe and the charging case is not more than 6 meters (19.68ft), and your smartphone is as close as possible to the charging case. Keep the device away from metal or obstacles.
  4. Restart the device, re-open the phone app, and repeat the pairing steps.
  5. Turn off other Bluetooth devices in the connection range or disable their Bluetooth functions.
Why can't I charge the device?
  1. The probe can only be charged by the charging case.
  2. Use the supplied charging cable to charge the charging case. If you need to use another charging cable, ensure it is a 5V 1A Type-C interface.

9. User Tips

  • Optimal Probe Placement: Always insert the probe deep enough, past the "safe cooking line," to ensure accurate internal temperature readings. This prevents false readings from surface temperatures.
  • Protect the Charging Case: Keep the charging case away from direct heat sources, open flames, and high humidity environments to prevent damage to its internal battery and electronics.
  • Maximize Bluetooth Range: For the most stable and extended Bluetooth connection, minimize physical obstacles (walls, metal objects) between the probe, the charging case (acting as a repeater), and your smartphone.
  • Pre-set Alarms: Utilize the app's pre-alarm feature to get notified a few degrees before your target temperature is reached, allowing you to prepare for removal or adjust cooking.
