5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
The BK9C sensor has an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust and temporary immersion in water. You can wipe it clean with a damp cloth. However, avoid soaking the device in water or cleaning it with high-pressure water jets, as this may damage the internal components.

5.2 Battery Replacement
When the battery is low, the LED indicator may not light up or may flash irregularly. Replace the CR2032 battery as described in Section 3.1. The typical battery life is approximately 300 hours, but actual life may vary based on usage and environmental conditions.
6. Troubleshooting
- Sensor not activating: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Rotate the crank arm several times to wake up the sensor.
- Cannot find sensor on device: Make sure the sensor is active (LED flashing). Check that Bluetooth/ANT+ is enabled on your receiving device and that it's within range. Try restarting both the sensor (by removing and reinserting the battery) and your receiving device.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the sensor is securely mounted on the crank arm and not moving or vibrating excessively. Check for any physical obstructions.
- LED not flashing: This usually indicates a dead battery. Replace the CR2032 battery.
