3. Compatibility
The ANCEL A202 supports all standard OBD2 cars. However, it is crucial to verify your vehicle's protocols before purchase as it does NOT support J1850 (J1850 PWM, J1850 VPM) protocols. Additionally, it is not compatible with Russian cars (VAZ, UAZ, LADA).
Specific Vehicle Exclusions:
- European Cars: Not supported if manufactured before 2004.
- American Cars: Not supported if manufactured before 2004 (e.g., Dodge, Jeep, Ford GM Chrysler, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Mustang, Lincoln).
- French Cars: Not supported (e.g., DS, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault).
- Japanese Cars: Not supported if manufactured before 2008 (e.g., Suzuki, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Subaru).
- Korean Cars: Some models manufactured before 2007 are not supported (e.g., KIA, Hyundai).
- Chinese Cars: Not supported if manufactured before 2008.
- Other Exclusions: Oil and electricity mixing vehicles, diesel-powered cars, Pick-up trucks, SUVs, and ORVs are generally not supported.

4. Setup and Installation
- Locate OBD Port: Identify the OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) check port in your vehicle. This is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Connect Device: Insert the ANCEL A202 device into the vehicle's OBD port.
- Connect Cable: Insert the other end of the provided OBD16pin to USB cable into the data interface of the A202 host.
- Start Vehicle: Turn on your vehicle's ignition (or start the engine).
- Establish Communication: Wait for the communication linkage between the A202 and the car. Once successfully established, the host will emit a "drop" sound, and the display screen will show vehicle protocols. This indicates the device is ready for initial parameter setup.

7. Troubleshooting
Q1: Why does the device automatically turn off after a period of time?
A1: The default sleep time for the ANCEL A202 is 30 seconds. If your engine is turned off, the device will automatically power down after this duration. To change this, navigate to the 'Settings' menu and adjust the 'Sleep Time Set' parameter to your desired duration.
Q2: Why are my car dashboard lights or fault alarm lights lit up abnormally after connecting the device?
A2: In some specific vehicle models, connecting the A202 may cause abnormal illumination of dashboard lights or fault alarms. To resolve this, go to 'Product inf' > 'Matching inf' on the device. This section provides specific solutions, which may include using needle-nose pliers to cut off pins 7 and 15 of the OBD2 connector to eliminate such phenomena. Refer to the pinout diagram in Figure 7 for pin identification.
