4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Boat

After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the boat with fresh water to remove any salt, dirt, or debris. Ensure all compartments are dry before storage.

4.2 Propeller Inspection

Regularly check the propellers for any entanglement from weeds or fishing lines. The boat features an anti-entanglement baffle to reduce this, but periodic inspection is recommended. Clean any debris to ensure optimal performance.

4.3 Battery Care

  • Always use the provided charger.
  • Do not overcharge or completely discharge the battery.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to about 50-60% capacity.

4.4 Remote Control Care

The remote control buttons are designed to be waterproof. However, avoid submerging the remote control. Clean with a damp cloth if necessary.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Boat Not Responding to Remote Control

  • Ensure both the boat and remote control are powered on.
  • Re-attempt the pairing process (Section 2.4).
  • Check battery levels for both devices.
  • Ensure you are within the 500m control distance.

5.2 Low Battery Alarm

  • Remote Control: When the voltage is below 2.3V, the LED on the right side flashes slowly, and a 'B-B' buzzer alarm sounds twice for about 15 seconds. Recharge the remote control.
  • Boat: If the ship's electrical capacity is less than 16%, the remote control will display a 'BIBI' alarm prompt. The boat will automatically return to the starting point. Recharge the boat battery immediately.

5.3 Signal Loss / Over Distance Return

If the remote controller loses power, the boat's power is insufficient, or the signal is lost (e.g., exceeding 500m control distance), the boat will automatically return to its starting point.

5.4 GPS Positioning Inaccuracy

  • Ensure geomagnetic calibration was performed correctly (Section 2.5).
  • Operate in an open area with clear sky for optimal BDS+GPS dual satellite module performance.
  • Avoid areas with strong magnetic interference.

7. User Tips

  • Pre-Calibrate: Always perform geomagnetic calibration in an open area before using GPS functions for the first time or when moving to a new fishing spot.
  • Battery Management: Carry a spare charged battery for longer fishing sessions, especially if using the sonar feature which can consume more power.
  • Test Runs: Before deploying bait, do a short test run to ensure the boat responds correctly and GPS points are accurately set.
  • Night Fishing: Utilize the night navigation lights for better visibility and control during low-light conditions.
  • Propeller Check: After retrieving the boat, quickly check the propellers for any debris to prevent damage on the next use.
