5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Wiring Instructions

Proper wiring is crucial for the safe and correct operation of your car MP5 player. This unit features a wiring protection function to prevent damage from incorrect power connections.

  • Power Connection: Connect the red and yellow wires to the positive side of your car's power supply (DC 12V). Connect the black wire to the negative side (ground).
  • Speaker Connections: Use the provided ISO standard plug to connect to your car's speaker wiring harness.
  • Reversing Camera: If installing an optional reversing camera, ensure its video output is connected to the 'CAMIN' port on the rear of the MP5 player.
  • Antenna: Connect your car's radio antenna to the designated antenna port.
  • External Microphone (Optional): If using an external microphone, connect it to the 3.5mm microphone input.

Important: Always use the power cords provided with the unit. Do not directly insert original car plugs into the MP5 player without verifying compatibility and correct wiring.

5.2 Installation Steps

  1. Ensure the car's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before starting installation.
  2. Carefully remove your existing car stereo from the dashboard.
  3. Connect the wiring harness from the BQCC 9607W to your car's wiring. Pay close attention to power, ground, speaker, and accessory wires.
  4. If installing a reversing camera, route the camera cable to the rear of the vehicle and connect it to the 'CAMIN' input on the MP5 player.
  5. Slide the MP5 player into the 1-DIN slot in your dashboard.
  6. Secure the unit using the provided mounting brackets and screws.
  7. Reconnect the car battery and turn on the ignition to test the unit.
  8. Once confirmed working, reassemble the dashboard trim.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Operation and UI

The BQCC 9607W features a manual retractable touchscreen. Gently pull the screen up to deploy it and push it down to retract. The main interface provides access to various functions.

6.2 Radio (FM/AM/RDS)

Press the 'Mode' button to select Radio mode. Use the tuning controls to find stations. The RDS function allows you to receive real-time traffic radio stations where available.

6.3 Multimedia Playback (USB/SD/AUX)

Insert a USB flash drive or SD card into the respective slots, or connect an external device via the AUX input. The player supports various audio, video, and image formats.

6.4 Bluetooth Function

Pair your mobile phone with the device via Bluetooth 5.1 (default name: SWL-BT) for hands-free calls and wireless audio streaming.

6.5 Mirrorlink

Connect your Android or iPhone device to mirror its screen onto the MP5 player. Apple phones can only touch the screen in one direction when mirroring, while Android phones can touch both sides of the screen.

6.6 CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your smartphone to use CarPlay (for Apple) or Android Auto (for Android) for a seamless car-optimized experience. Both wired and wireless connections are supported.

6.7 Steering Wheel Control

The unit supports learning functions for original car steering wheel buttons. Navigate to the 'Wheel' settings menu to map your steering wheel controls to the player's functions.

6.8 Reversing Camera

When an optional reversing camera is connected to the 'CAMIN' port, the display will automatically switch to a full-screen reversing image when the vehicle is put into reverse gear.

6.9 Colorful Lights

The unit features RGB bright lights with multiple modes. Press the light mode switch button on the front panel to cycle through different light modes, including voice control, flashing, horse race lamp, and various steady colors.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and unit. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used on the screen, then wipe dry immediately.
  • Avoid Liquids: Do not spray liquids directly onto the unit.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
  • Retractable Screen: Operate the retractable screen gently. Avoid forcing it open or closed.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Common Issues and Solutions

  • Unit does not turn on:
    1. Check if the car radio voltage is DC 12V.
    2. Ensure the red and yellow wires are connected to the positive side of the power supply, and the black wire to the negative side.
    3. Check and replace the fuse if necessary. Always use the provided power cords.
