- Step 4: Wait for the camera to boot up. The indicator light will flash green when ready.
- Step 5: Follow the in-app operations to finish adding the camera. If you have multiple cameras, add them one by one. If the Wi-Fi network changes or the indicator status is incorrect, reset the camera and repeat Step 5.

- Continuous Recording: The camera supports various operating modes, including continuous recording. If you intend to record continuously, ensure the solar panel is consistently receiving sunlight or the camera is connected to a stable power source to prevent battery depletion.
- Solar Panel Cable Length: The cable connecting the solar panel to the camera is approximately 3 meters (9.8 feet) long, providing flexibility for optimal panel placement.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. App and Connectivity Issues
- "Failed to bind" Error: This indicates the device successfully connected to Wi-Fi but failed to link to your Imou account. Check your router's internet connection stability and try again.
- Changing Wi-Fi Network: If you change your Wi-Fi or move the camera to a new location:
- If your camera has an Ethernet port and you have a cable, connect it to your router. Wait for the LED to turn solid blue. In the Imou Life App, go to "Device" page, then settings, and tap "Wi-Fi Config" to connect to the new Wi-Fi.
- If no Ethernet port or cable, reset the camera to factory defaults and set it up again with the new Wi-Fi.
- Imou Account Binding: For security, a camera can only be bound to one Imou account. To add it to a new account, delete it from the previous one first. To delete: go to the preview page, click the gear icon (top right), scroll to the bottom, and select "Delete Device." Alternatively, go to "Me" > "My Device" > select device > scroll to bottom > "Delete Device."
7.2. Notification and Alarm Issues
- Not Receiving Alarm Messages:
- Ensure the enable button in the upper right corner of the channel picture on the main page is clicked.
- Check app notification settings: Enable Imou Notifications via "Settings" > "Notifications" on your iPhone, and "Me" > "Settings" > "Notice" on the Imou App.
- Verify event settings: For motion detection, ensure the event is enabled and the time schedule is valid.
- Confirm the device is connected to the internet.
7.3. Night Vision Issues
- Image is All Black at Night:
- Possible Reasons: IR LED not lighting up, ICR not switching to night mode, objects too far from the camera.
- Solutions: If IR LED lights up but the image is black, there might be an issue with the ICR. For consumer cameras, the IR distance is typically less than 10m, so distant objects may not be visible.
