1. Product Overview

The BOW G68D is a versatile 68-key mechanical keyboard designed for various computing environments, including laptops, iPads, and tablets. It features tri-mode connectivity (2.4G wireless, Bluetooth 3.0/5.0, and wired Type-C), hot-swappable switches, and customizable RGB backlighting, offering a premium typing experience with ergonomic design.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Physical Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the keyboard and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Adjust Feet: The keyboard features hidden adjustable feet. Flip them out to set your preferred typing angle for ergonomic comfort. The bottom also has anti-slip rubber pads for stability.

3.2 Connectivity Options

The BOW G68D supports three connection modes: 2.4G Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired Type-C. It can connect to up to 5 devices simultaneously, allowing for quick switching.

3.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection

1. Locate the 2.4G USB receiver stored in the compartment on the back of the keyboard.
2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer or device.
3. The keyboard should automatically connect.

3.2.2 Bluetooth Connection

1. Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode (refer to operating instructions for mode switching).
2. On your device (laptop, iPad, tablet), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
3. Select "BOW G68D" from the list of available devices to pair.
4. The keyboard supports Bluetooth 3.0 and 5.0.

3.2.3 Wired Type-C Connection

1. Connect one end of the provided USB Type-C cable to the Type-C port on the keyboard.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer or device.
3. The keyboard will function as a wired keyboard and also charge its internal battery.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Mode Switching

The keyboard can switch between its three connection modes (2.4G, Bluetooth, Wired) to connect to different devices. Specific key combinations (often involving the Fn key) are used for this. Refer to the keyboard's function key diagram for exact commands.

4.3 Backlight Control

The BOW G68D features 16 Million Colors RGB backlighting with 20 different lighting effects. Use the designated keys (often in combination with Fn) to cycle through effects, adjust brightness, and change colors.

Some backlight modes include: Wave gradually, Shadow follows, Sine wave, Left/Right scan, Rotating windmill, Seven-color waterfall, Flower rich, Rotating storm, Collision back and forth, Ten perfect, Off, Always-on mode, Breathing mode, Dreamy rainbow, Touch and go, Rain walk, Rainbow turntable, Key press ripple, Starry dots, Snow without trace, River flows endlessly.

4.4 Anti-Ghosting

The keyboard features full key anti-ghosting, ensuring that all key presses are registered accurately, even during fast typing or complex gaming commands.

4.5 Automatic Sleep Technology

To conserve battery life, the keyboard incorporates automatic sleep technology:

• After 2 minutes of no operation, the keyboard enters automatic sleep mode, and the backlight turns off.
• After 15 minutes of no operation, it enters deep standby mode.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard surface.
• For deeper cleaning, you may carefully remove keycaps using a keycap puller (not included) and clean underneath with compressed air.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.2 Battery Charging

The keyboard has a built-in 3000mAh lithium battery. Connect the keyboard via the Type-C cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter) to charge. The battery is designed for approximately 2000 charge cycles.

5.3 Hot-Swappable Switches

The BOW G68D features a hot-swappable PCB design, allowing you to easily change mechanical switches without soldering. It supports most 3-pin switches. Use a switch puller (not included) to carefully remove and insert switches.

5.4 Keycaps

The keyboard uses durable ABS two-color keycaps with a fine texture, designed for long-lasting wear resistance.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Keyboard Not Responding

• Wired Mode: Ensure the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the device. Try a different USB port or cable.
• 2.4G Wireless Mode: Ensure the USB receiver is properly plugged in. Check if the keyboard is in 2.4G mode. Try re-pairing if necessary (consult specific pairing instructions if available, otherwise, try unplugging and replugging the receiver).
• Bluetooth Mode: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Re-pair the device if the connection is lost. Check the keyboard's battery level.
• Battery: If using wireless modes, ensure the keyboard battery is charged.

6.2 Backlight Not Working or Incorrect

• Check if the backlight is turned off or set to a very low brightness level using the Fn key combinations.
• Cycle through different backlight modes to see if it responds.
• Ensure the keyboard is not in deep standby mode, which turns off the backlight.

6.3 Keys Not Registering / Ghosting

• The keyboard has full key anti-ghosting, so this should be rare.
• Ensure no debris is under the keycaps or switches.
• If a specific key is not working, consider replacing the hot-swappable switch for that key.
