Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the display screen and body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the screen or casing.
- Water Resistance: The display has an IP65 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. While it can withstand splashes, avoid submerging it in water.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the ebike and display in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically check the display cable and connector for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.
Troubleshooting
- Display Not Turning On:
- Check if the ebike battery is charged and properly connected.
- Ensure the display's wire connector is securely plugged in.
- Hold the Power button for at least 2 seconds to ensure it's not just a brief press.
- Incorrect Readings (Speed/Distance):
- Verify that the wheel size and other parameters are correctly set in the display's settings menu.
- Check the speed sensor and its magnet for proper alignment and function.
- Error Codes:
- If an error code appears on the display, note the code and consult your ebike's main controller manual or contact customer support for assistance. The YL81C display indicates error codes but does not interpret them.
