4. Setup and Installation

  1. Prepare Helmet for Speakers

    Locate suitable positions inside your helmet for the speakers, typically near your ears. Use the provided Round Velcro stickers to secure the speakers in place. Ensure they are positioned comfortably and do not obstruct helmet padding.

  2. Install Microphone

    Choose between the Boom Mic or Soft Tube Microphone based on your helmet type (e.g., full-face vs. open-face). Route the microphone cable discreetly along the helmet's interior. Position the microphone close to your mouth for optimal voice pickup.

  3. Select and Mount Intercom Unit Base

    Decide whether to use the Mounting Bracket (Metal Clip) or the Double-Sided Tape Base. The Mounting Bracket offers a more secure, semi-permanent attachment, while the Double-Sided Tape Base provides a cleaner look. Attach the chosen base to the side of your helmet where the intercom unit will be easily accessible.

  4. Attach Intercom Unit

    Slide or clip the TNICER intercom unit onto the installed mounting base. Ensure it is firmly secured.

  5. Connect Cables

    Connect the speaker and microphone cable to the Type-C port on the intercom unit. Ensure the connection is snug.

5.1 Power On/Off

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing (for Phone/GPS)

  1. Ensure the intercom is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for about 7 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly (e.g., red and blue alternately), indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your mobile phone or GPS device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  4. Select "TNICER T5" or "TNICER T5PLUS" from the list of available devices.
  5. Once paired, the indicator light will change (e.g., slow blue flashes) and you may hear a confirmation tone.

5.3 Intercom Communication

To initiate or join an intercom conversation with another TNICER intercom unit:

  1. Ensure both intercom units are powered on and within range.
  2. Press the Intercom button (refer to your device's specific button layout) once to initiate pairing with another unit.
  3. The units will attempt to connect. A successful connection will be indicated by a tone or light change.
  4. To end an intercom conversation, press the Intercom button again.

Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons to adjust the audio level for music, calls, and intercom conversations.

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device does not power on. Low battery or no power. Charge the device using a compatible Type-C cable. Ensure the charging cable and power source are working.
No sound from speakers. Speakers not connected, volume too low, or faulty speakers/cable. Check if the speaker cable is securely plugged into the Type-C port. Increase the volume. Test with another audio source if possible.
Microphone not working. Microphone not connected, positioned incorrectly, or faulty. Ensure the microphone is securely connected and positioned close to your mouth. Check for any obstructions.
Bluetooth pairing fails. Device not in pairing mode, out of range, or interference. Ensure the intercom is in pairing mode (rapid flashing indicator). Move closer to the phone/GPS. Turn off other Bluetooth devices.
Intercom connection issues. Units out of range, interference, or incorrect pairing procedure. Ensure both units are within effective intercom range. Repeat the intercom pairing procedure.
