5. Setup Guide
5.1. Battery Installation
- Ensure the device is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
- Insert the 3.7V 4000mAh Li-ion battery pack (BT-B5pro) into the compartment, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
- Secure the battery cover.
5.2. SIM Card Installation
The device supports a single Micro-SIM card.
- Locate the SIM slot on the side of the radio, usually protected by a rubber flap.
- Open the rubber flap.
- Carefully insert the Micro-SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down, as shown in the product overview diagram.
- Close the rubber flap securely to protect against dust and moisture.

5.3. Antenna Installation
- Locate the SMA-Female connector on the top of the radio.
- Screw the provided 4G 800-2655MHz SMA-Female Antenna onto the connector clockwise until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
5.4. Initial Power On
- Press and hold the Power Button (located near the volume knob) until the HIROYASU logo appears on the screen.
- The device will boot up, displaying the 4G LTE logo and then the main interface.
5.5. Charging
The device features a Type-C USB charging interface.
- Connect the USB-C charging cable to the Type-C port on the bottom of the radio or the side port (as shown in Figure 5.1).
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the provided AC adapter.
- Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet.
- The charging indicator on the screen will show the charging status.

6. Operation
6.1. Basic Navigation (Touch Screen)
The HI-B5Pro features a 2.4-inch touch screen for intuitive navigation. Tap icons to open applications, swipe to scroll, and use the physical Home and Back buttons for quick navigation.

6.2. Network Connection (Mobile Data, Wi-Fi)
To use PoC features, the device requires an internet connection via mobile data or Wi-Fi.
- Mobile Data: Ensure a valid SIM card is inserted and mobile data is enabled in the 'Mobile network' settings. The device supports 2G/3G/4G LTE networks (LTE-FDD: B1/B2/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28; LTE-TDD: B38/B39/B40/B41; WCDMA: B1/B5/B8).
- Wi-Fi: Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Wi-Fi' to connect to available Wi-Fi networks.


6.3. Bluetooth Pairing
The device supports Bluetooth V4.2 for connecting accessories like headsets.
- Go to 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth'.
- Turn Bluetooth 'On'.
- Select 'Pair new device' and choose your desired Bluetooth accessory from the list.
6.4. PTT Key Assignment

- Phone Calls: Use the 'Phone' application on the home screen to dial numbers or access contacts. Note that voice comes from the device's speaker as there is no handset.

6.6. Using PoC Applications

- Access applications like Zello, REAL-PTT, Global-PTT, and Pocstars from the home screen.
