1. Introduction
The EARU EAATS-E-PC Dual Power Automatic Transfer Switch is a terminal type automatic transfer device designed to ensure continuous power supply for critical load circuits. It is suitable for 3-phase 4-wire (or 1-phase 1-wire) dual power grids operating at AC 50/60Hz, with rated voltages of 220V/400V and rated currents up to 63A/125A.
This device automatically switches between a normal power source and a reserve power source. The switch prioritizes the normal power source; if normal power is available, it will connect to it. If normal power fails and reserve power is available, the switch will automatically transfer to the reserve power. It is important to note that this switch cannot turn on or turn off a generator directly.
The automatic transfer switch conforms to the GB/T14048.11 standard.

3. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating this device. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Installation and maintenance should only be performed by qualified electricians.
- Always disconnect power from both normal and reserve sources before performing any wiring or maintenance.
- Ensure all wiring connections are secure and properly insulated.
- Verify correct voltage and current ratings before connecting the device to your electrical system.
- Do not operate the switch if it appears damaged or malfunctioning.
- External power supply to the indicator light terminals (3 & 6) is strictly prohibited.
4. Package Contents
The package typically includes:
- 1 x EAATS-E-PC Dual Power Automatic Transfer Switch
- Please check your packaging for any additional accessories or documentation.
5. Installation and Wiring
Before installation, familiarize yourself with the components of the switch:

5.1. Wiring Diagrams
Refer to the following diagrams for correct wiring of 2P and 4P models:

5.2. Terminal Connections
The device features various terminals for power input, output, and control signals:

- Ordinary Output Terminals:
- Un (1. Line 3): Common power
- Ur (4. Line 6): Standby power
- Non (2. Line 3): Common closing
- Ron (5. Line 6): Standby closing
- Note for 3P Switches: When the switch is 3P, please connect the common power supply neutral wire to terminal 3 and the backup neutral wire to terminal 6.
- Fire Output Terminal Wiring Diagram:
- Non (1. Line 3): Common closing
- Ron (2. Line 3): Standby closing
- 4. Line 5: Fire input (DC24V)
- 4. Line 6: Power generation signal output
5.3. Indicator Light Wiring
The indicator light provides status feedback. Ensure correct wiring as shown:

- Important: The indicator light connected to terminals 3 & 6 will illuminate when the ATS is in the middle (neutral) position.
- Warning: External power supply to the indicator light terminals is strictly prohibited. The indicator light is designed for AC220V output from the switch itself.
5.4. Mounting
The switch is designed for fixed mounting. Use the provided fixed mounting holes for secure installation.

6. Operating Modes
The EAATS-E-PC switch offers both automatic and manual operation modes, controlled by the 'Mode Switch Button' and 'Manual Operation' knob.
6.1. Automatic Mode
- To activate automatic mode, press the 'Mode Switch Button' to the 'Auto' position.
- In this mode, the switch will automatically detect the presence of normal and reserve power and transfer the load accordingly.
- The switch prioritizes normal power. If normal power is present, it will connect to it. If normal power fails and reserve power is available, it will switch to reserve power.
6.2. Manual Mode
- To activate manual mode, press the 'Mode Switch Button' to the 'Manual' position.
- In manual mode, you must manually operate the 'Direction' knob to switch between normal power (N), off (O), and reserve power (R).
- This mode is useful for testing or when automatic switching is not desired.
6.3. Operation Demonstration

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your ATS.
- Periodic Inspection: Regularly inspect the device for any signs of physical damage, loose connections, or overheating.
- Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Connection Check: Periodically verify that all wiring connections are tight and secure.
- Functional Test: It is recommended to periodically test the automatic transfer function by simulating a power outage (if safe to do so) to ensure it operates correctly.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ATS, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
8.1. Automatic Switching Failure
- Symptom: The 2P or 4P switch does not automatically transfer power when the main power source fails, even when set to 'Auto' mode.
- Possible Cause: Incorrect neutral wire connection for the control circuit.
- Solution: Ensure that for 3P switches, the common power supply neutral wire is correctly connected to terminal 3 and the backup neutral wire is connected to terminal 6. These connections are crucial for the device to sense power availability and initiate automatic transfer. Refer to Figure 5 for detailed terminal wiring.
8.2. Indicator Light Malfunction
- Symptom: The indicator light does not illuminate or behaves unexpectedly.
- Possible Cause: Incorrect wiring or external power supply connected to indicator terminals.
- Solution: Verify that the indicator light is correctly wired to terminals 3 & 6 as shown in Figure 6. Ensure no external power source is connected to these terminals, as they are designed for AC220V output from the switch itself.
9. User Tips
- Crucial Neutral Connections: For reliable automatic switching, especially in 3P setups, pay close attention to connecting the neutral wires of both main and reserve power sources to terminals 3 and 6 respectively. This is a common point of error.
- Manual Override: Always be aware of the manual override function. In an emergency or for testing, you can manually switch the power source using the 'Direction' knob after setting the mode to 'Manual'.
- Professional Installation: Due to the electrical nature of this device, professional installation by a certified electrician is highly recommended to ensure safety and proper functionality.
